That step back three.
I'm ready to get this kid across the pond.
Knee and shot looking good for Bertans..Spurs need to keep adding post players with shooters like this on the way for next season.
Might be the guy who's needed on the bench with Anderson and Mills. But that defense would be horrible, even if LJC is in there with them.
His shooting and offense as a whole look good but he's going to have to play the 4 and he's neither strong enough nor fundamentally good enough on defense to survive. His rebounding is also way below what would be needed on NBA level. Awesome shot, though.
Definitely a 4. Definitely too skinny. I still want him on the team. He can spend the first couple years bulking up and owning D-Leaguers, if needed.
If Anderson can get playing time then he should have no problem getting minutes
Not solid on him "having to be" a 4. The team can work around his defensive deficiencies especially in the second unit
I see him as a 3 going forward. Kyle Anderson is going to get more and more minutes at the 4. Put them both on the Kawhi Leonard workout routine and in 2 years they'll both
be sporting corn rows.
Just hit a game winning three against Real Madrid:

has just killed real madrid !
Hopefully he makes his Spurs debut this upcoming season. His sharpshooting is definitely needed.
Not his best game. He got a couple of decent looks from three (1/4 on 3s) but wasn't involved much in the offense outside of spacing the floor on the weakside. The team is playing mostly through the shot happy guards or Bourousis in the low post.
One thing that stood out was that he got backed down quite easily by James Gist on a postup showing that he still needs do a lot of work on his body.
He had a nice dunk in garbage time (at about 1:30):
Baskonia wins Game 2 and now just needs one more win to make it to the Final Four. Both teams were just taking and making some crazy three pointers in this game.
Bertans did his usual thing on offense. The defensive end was more interesting. This time around he was matched up a lot with a PG (35 year old Diamantidis) so he had to navigate a lot of ball screens. He clearly lacks the strength/foot speed to go through screens but he did well enough to not get stuck most of time and stay in the play.
Here he is giving up a ridiculous one footed three which forced overtime:
Maybe he could have fouled before the shot but he clearly made a mental mistake helping on the drive with his team up three.
Saw some of the home game. I was surprised in the 2nd half he was like a non factor on offence. He often made good position but his team mates seemed to ignore him when in scoring positions. I liked his passing and he got a few nice rebounds. Thought his D down low was okay and there was no doubt his size put some guards off shooting on the perimeter a few times.
Time to replace one red head with another.
call up hanga/thomas/bertans need their scoring
This guy better be at Summer League or I will be furious and just give up on him. LOL!
Game tipping off now, Bertans and Hanga both starting.
Hanga looks like arron Afflalo perhaps more athletic
No daylight for Bertans to shoot the ball. The defense just switched every time he is involved in a screen.
