The Arsenal defense is not fine, it's painfully average.
GK and defense are fine, Arsenal needs a creative midfielder and they lost both of them. Diaby and Wilshere are not the anwser. I don't know why they let Fabregas go, if they won't keep Nasri. Fabregas and Barca had zero leverage in negotiations.

arsenal = euro farm team, buyin scrubs from french leagues....
lol if they make 60m from tha sale of nasri + fab, they going to spend it on buyin teens again at 1m a pop..
Which is perfectly adequate for the style of football that Arsenal plays - hence just fine. However if they don't get quality help in the midfield (and i don't see what player out there could fill that Fabregas+Nasri hole), they will have to change the style (which will expose their holes elsewhere).
I still don't see how you can describe the defense as 'fine'. Which style of football are you referring to, free-flowing offensive that has trouble finishing chances with defense that often gets exposed on set pieces and in the air?
It's not one or the other - if the Gunners want to ever seriously compete for a le they'll have to address their average-at-best defense irrespective of their new problems at midfield.
I've never seen so much diving in my life, especially with Drogba on the bench ffs.
So does Chelsea put Villas-Boas on the hot seat after that tie?
manutd fielding a rebuilding team roster for startin 11....pathetic, was expecting a blow out win....

ARSENAL have sensationally told Manchester City: Give us Carlos Tevez and you can have Samir Nasri.
This would be crazy if it happens. I could see it going both ways.
Positives are that Tevez can be a machine up front and would give the Gunners a fearsome combo alongside RVP. (although one of those guys would have to play out of position)
Negatives are that he can be a whiny with questionable dedication, especially after the whole "I wanna be closer to my family" saga
I'll believe it when I see it, but if Wenger is really working this angle, then it's a very ballsy move.......
...That still doesn't address the real problems the club has, defense and GK
Would make them even more fun to watch though. Lots of high scoring games

After reading up a bit on this it would seem the Pounds just don't add up for this to have any hope of happening. The Gunners don't pay anyone more than 120k Pounds a week and Tevez makes 200k, meaning he would have to take a 90k Pound pay cut. Makes no sense.
The Sun is probably just cooking something up to get reads
This seems a bit more realistic
Gunners tracking Jadson
Lucescu states Arsenal do want Brazilian playmaker

tevez is going to inter for sneijder swap
mancity would not help do a deal with arsenal when they can just buy nasri...arsenal has no leverage atm
I don't think he's starting. Heard that Mancini doesn't think his fit to start so he might come off the bench.
I can't think a half-fit Agüero is worse than this sandwich of Dzeko and Yaya Toure.
Anybody watching the game?
I'm watching.
well, it's about time city scored. Can't believe it took so long
Kiddo is gonna score... he's one tough SOB
Already looking more dangerous than Dzeko
