I just learned about the ability to do this like a year ago; now I install just about every game I plan to have a major sit down with. Makes things so much smoother.
Just what I was about to suggest
Heck, even better: buy a high speed 16GB USB stick and install it on it. Then it's like running it off a SSD!

I didn't even think of that; the game still has to stop and load a lot outside and in Leyawin even after installation to the hard drive. Maybe I should have thought twice before training athletics up to level 250, lol.
New screens released today.

Sweet.... Skyrim takes place in the Tetons.
Wha?
I'm just happy as that I have a 250 gig HDD on the way. Now I can install the game and won't have to run it from the disc and risk scratching the expensive bas .
That's my favorite. Just cause of the Dagouth. (spelling?)
The one off the northern coast showing the light display is pretty bad ass too. I am pretty sure these are 360 scans.
The mountain on the left looks like Mount Moran (in the Teton range) and the one in the distance just to the left of the tree looks like Grand Teton. Absolutely incredible place to visit and hike in if you're interested in going out to Wyoming.
Not much of an outdoors person unless it's fishing or basketball, lol.
Skyrim sound trailer
Paid off my pre-order yesterday.
Still got 35 to pay for my pre order. What time y'all goin to the midnight release?
I wish I could go. I think I'm going to work, though. I actually hope I can't go, cause it means I got laid off again.
just saw the game demo trailers
Upgraded my PC just for this game.
60 fps all ova ma facee
so is it better to get the PC version? I can either get the PS3 or PC.
how can 60fps be achieved for cheap?
my pc "was" decent about 2 years ago. 1gb radeon, quad core pentium, 4gb ram
will I need to go i7 quad core, 8gb ram and what video card??
If your PC can run it I would say PC version all the way for the modding community alone . Many times some of them come up with a mod thats even better then what the games creators made. Think of it kind of like free dlc but usually very good content dlc.
I never got much into mods with Oblivion but I have tried some amazing ones for Fallout New Vegas, and that is about the only reason why I still play that from time to time.
However I think that any version is going to be very good
do you guys know if Skyrim will work with Kinect?
I almost drop $400 for the Xbox + Kinect. (I also want it for development. Microsoft released Win8 Kinect SDK )
I don't think it's Kinect-enabled.
But why would you pay $400 when you can have it from $300?
