right-wing strategy to criminalize all legitimate dissent matches their attempt to criminalize the poor.

Darrin is a shill, or at best a dupe, for the corrupt 1% establishment.

Why have you left out the violent mayhem by the militarized police on unarmed, peaceful dissenters?

There have been over 3000 arrests. That's a lot, considering this bowel movement is only a couple of months old.

Ah, there's such a dearth of critical thinking in this sentence.

Yeah, I would't qualify "I get high" as mayhem either.

But google "tea party" and "arrests" and you get something like four items. The Tea Party is way bigger and has been around a lot longer.

When did they stay in one place for two months?

I'd have to say it's pretty stupid to paint with such a broad brush, but that's the organizers' fault for being too democratic. They left themselves open for this.

Yeah, in the 60s Darrin would have been saying that Rosa Parks should have just sat in the back of the bus like a normal black.

There is no need for Civil Disobedience in Tea Party demonstrations. The Tea Partiers are shills for the people who spend millions of dollars manipulating government policy to favor themselves. Since authority works for them, why battle authority?

The Tea Party is a PR movement.

The 60s were different. That antiwar crowd was principled -- they were antiwar even when the POTUS had a (D.) after his name.

EDIT> And that 60's crowd is now the 1%.

True, the tea party just concentrated on an issue that was already part of the advertized platform of the Republican party.

That sure took guts and dedication.
