I forgot I ordered my sister a MacBook in January, so my Air got returned since my discount had not been reset (I can get one after Jan 1), so I ordered a 64GB iPad. It's pretty awesome, and I got this game for my daughter - she loves it and it's helping get her ready for 2nd grade:

Drachen, does Splashtop 2 interest you at all? It works well but I couldn't get the original anymore.
We don't have a splashtop 2. What does it do?
The login stuff is simpler, and the "Advanced" pane is no longer needed. You can access over 3g/whatever remotely without additional PIN, and they claim you can stream graphic intensive games now as proof of how much speedier it is. I don't play games so I can't testify to it, but the retina support is nice. I think the Android release is pretty imminent, they don't support the iPhone or Touch yet either, just the iPad. It was $2, which isn't much for what it does. I like it, thanks for the recommendation previously. I'll need to see how it works remotely over wifi of course, but so far so good.
Oh Ok, for us, splashtop was available over 3g/4g and they have a seperate (splashtop gamecontroller) which is supposedly optimized to play skyrim, civ5, etc through splashtop, but only for tegra 3 devices (though tegra 3 can be emulated).
I don't really play games either so I can't really tell you about all that. They have had a Splashtop HD out for a while which was optimized for the tablet screens (higher res).
It sounds like y'all are getting some of the stuff we've got. I am glad that I could help you out with that app. I do agree that it is awesome.
Yeah the 3g/4g access was there before but they really simplified the login process.
Tiny Wings 2.0 and Tiny Wings HD (iPad) are out on iOS. Great games, great additions to them as well after quite a wait.

During our visit, we met with the team behind a cool new iOS app from JPL: NASA's Spacecraft 3D, an augmented reality application that allows users to "learn about and interact with a variety of spacecraft that are used to explore our solar system, study Earth, and observe the universe."
Using a printed AR Target and the camera on your mobile device, you can get up close with these robotic explorers, see how they move, and learn about the the engineering feats used to expand our knowledge and understanding of space. Android: Touchscreen keyboards, or even miniature ones, are not necessarily the ideal surface for getting things done. A physical keyboard and computer are just simply faster for many tasks, but there are a number of things they can't do that a mobile phone or tablet can. AirDroid bridges the gap by allowing you to control your device from pretty much any modern web browser.

A day after upgrading its cloud music player, Amazon has delivered a native Amazon Instant Video app for iPad (not iPhone or iPod Touch, yet) to the App Store. It has access to streaming Prime Instant Video for subscribers, as well as downloaded or streamed video on-demand. Other key features include access to the Watchlist / queue, and automatic access to any shows subscribed to with a Season Pass the day after they air on TV. The free app is available in the iTunes store right now, however like the sudden appearance of Hulu Plus on Apple TV yesterday we don't have any official PR to share just yet.
