It's painful to watch him, tbh..

Hopefully Neal takes his minutes, once he returns..

Ford is just keeping Neal's seat warm. He is a 3rd string backup point guard. Joseph will be D-league this year. No big deal.

I expect him to play 8-10 mpg but Neal should take the rest of the minutes.

lol, what? Ford was great tonight, complete opposite of Parker(Not a knock on Tony), actually facilitates the basketball. Thought his passing was superb.

Tony played extremely well in the 2nd half. Not sure which game you were watching.

Ford had a couple terrible TOs, but he mostly did what he was supposed to do. Not really sure what many expected.

My only complaint is that he does hold the ball too long sometimes, but Parker does the same thing.

TJ wasn't bad tonight. He made some mistakes but overall he was good at passing and creating plays. I also liked his hustle. Keep in mind he isn't our starter but merely a backup.

In the pre-game, didn't Pop say something about T.J. putting in a "solid seven minutes" this season? It sounded like that's what he has planned for him.

I'm not a fan of his.

It's more frustrating when he elects to be a dribbling- waiting for the right, crisp screen in half court sets. All that does is drain the shot clock and forces other players to take bad/quick shots whenever he finally decides to give it up.

He actually got RJ to start catch and shooting & had him showing aggressiveness that is often non-existent.

TJ Ford was an upgrade compared to Quinn. He was not great, but at least, decent. What i would like to see is how Joseph would fit in this Spurs team. I love his defense.,

Ford is a slightly more talented Jacque Vaughn, without the defense..

R.J was aggressive because R.J decided to be aggressive. The past year, he's always been aggressive or took his 3's in catch and shoot situations (if that's what the defense gave the Spurs). That was existent for about 90% of last year. He just totally laid an egg the last 4 games of the playoffs last year (which was crucial).

There were times tonight where Ford did give it up to Jefferson, but it should have happened even more and sooner in the shot clock as Jefferson, along with Anderson, were the best weapons on the floor during a great portion of the 2nd quarter. (Instead Ford often over-dribbled and drained too much of the shot clock. IMO)

I'm hoping Neal gets Ford's minutes when he gets back.

I agree Ford isn't perfect but he speeds up the game and looks to get others involved.
