Looks like Quicksilverscreen (QSS) has decided to shutdown due to obvious pressure.
He should save his leftover money for his lawyers.
I see we didn't watch the video.
Forgot to add. Fileserve is back up.
Most people who download torrents would never buy that DVD or cd, I'd never s out 30 bucks for a Blu ray movie. Lots of poor people from all over the country also download these movies because they couldn't afford them, so without torrent sites many of these downloaders still wouldnt buy these movies.
In my 21 years on this earth I literally never have bought a single DVD or cd my whole life because the prices, and I barely started using TPB maybe a year ago.
If all the torrent sites got shut down I really doubt DVD and cd sales go up dramatically.
I watched like 3 minutes of it. Couldn't keep on..
Holy , it's Jabba the Hut!
You're such a rebel.
I can understand the sentiment with music with the way they jacked the prices of CDs up to twice what cassettes were going for and then kept the price point there forever, but $20 to buy a DVD of a movie that cost $50-$100 million to make is expensive?
They charge the same price for ones that only cost $1m. They have multiple revenue streams. Box office receipts, cable contracts and syndication. Production companies milk it over and over again.
One thing that used to be a main income was road receipts for bands but in the 90s the quality of road shows seemed to go to . Why bother because gate receipts are a minority within the income available.
I understand people want to save a few bucks here and there but never buying a DVD because its 20 bucks?
