Impressive Floss, your 2013 class thread now has over 500,000 views. You've built up quite an audience.
I just click on this thread a hundred times a day and pad my stats!

2014's thread should be interesting since apathy is starting to set in with a lot of Texas fans. The idea of Mack coming back for one more go has a lot of people down, but I'm sure us hardcore guys will manage somehow.

“@TamuHighlights: Seals-Jones said when he got hurt he had to find out from a website that t.u. (where he was currently commited) was no longer recruiting him”

that tweet is ignorant. texas did not pull a scholly b/c he got injured. the timing of this does not even line up. not to mention texas has honored scholarships of players that were diagnosed by doctor to never being able to play football again before they signed.

it is because a) they felt like it was wasted effort and they thought there was no way he was going to re-commit, or b) they felt shady practices were going on with his recruitment.

i think they (wrongly) stopped recruiting him b/c the negative recruiting was so strong and was impacting him and they thought he was lost cause. bad move. dude is top player in state.

wow, that is so misleading, especially since we have 2 lower ranked kids with serious season ending injuries still committed.

RSJ is showing himself to be a total POS, good luck to aggsy with that kid.

there's nothing wrong with this kid. the reality is the ags just out recruited us IMO. i will always wonder why we stopped recruiting him

let's just say i am very close to a '14 player that is being recruited this year by texas and the ags. and the feedback i got is they are negatively recruiting the outta these kids. the staff sat him down and literally went through past classes from texas and how much attrition we've had and how many players faded away - literally player by player. emphasis on how many players were top recruits and transferred, etc. and this guy on defense, so i can only imagine if they are recruiting WRs and can talk about our QB issues etc. i'm not a fan of negative recruiting but , when they are recruiting WRs they are going to do what it takes to land these kids.

According to 24/7, Texas should be by Iowa Western today to see JUCO QB Jake Waters.
Waters has told at least one media outlet that he's pretty much narrowed it down to Kansas State and Penn State. Sounds like Texas needs to offer quick and convince him to delay his decision.

For those wondering about the Texas Tech job, there are three names being talked about:

Chad Morris (Clemson offensive coordinator, former head coach of Lake Travis HS)
Kliff Kingsbury (Texas A&M offensive coordinator, former Texas Tech QB)
Brent Venables (Clemson defensive coordinator, former OU defensive coordinator)
There are a few more than that, tbh.

Who else have you read about?

RSJ's Mom: When asked about how they found out Texas was withdrawing his
offer, she stated that she found out by searching google. A reporter in
the room asked, "that's how you found out?"

Her reply: "Not even a phone call, that's Texas..."

I know this has been discussed in the past but why do we mix ATM recruting info with UT info? I enjoy reading both schools news and with ATM stepping up and out this year I think is as good a time as any to start a thread on just ATM info. Just a thought
