This blows. I'm not sure what to think of their chances in the post-season with this pitching....

Im honestly surprised we get far with this pitching. Its a bit upsetting that Rangers cant get a single ace. Harrison's not bad but he cant close when it matters. Had two chances to pitch a complete game and ended up giving into pressure.
Im not sure how dempster is going to fare in the playoffs.
    Darvish is the X factor.

Whats weird is that I feel a bit better about the pitching staff this year than last year. Last year the "ace" was Wilson, who was a playoff choker. But Lewis and Holland stepped up big in the World Series. I'm excited to see how Darvish does, hopefully better than Wilson did. I think Harrison and Dempster can give them just enough to get by. Holland is another one that I'm curious to see if he can rediscover that post-season magic from last year...

Yeah, an added plus is our relief/bullpen got more solid. Our 3-5 hitters are in a slump. Honestly no team scares me in the playoffs, only the NL teams lol. Only threat possibly is yankees imho.
Post season starters- Harrison Dempster Darvish Holland, any chance Oswalt gets a spot? depending on match ups?

I just don't like Oswalt starting at all. Out of the bullpen I'm fine with him but something about him starting I just don't like it. It's like he can't handle pressure very well.

so frickin obvious that Rangers dont want to face the Angels in the playoffs. Obvious tank job is obvious.

Scheppers coming in, Im guessing tateyama is going to come in tonight as well.
Oswalt at this point i would rather him just be the long reliever just like feldman. he did very well in that last year.

I wish it was a tank job. This was just a poor outing in the first inning. and its started since Hollands start

Pretty much what I was thinking. If I had to choose I would definitely want the A's. Also, they are simultaneously giving the Athletics false hope going into the playoffs

Tomorrow is definitely a must win. I'm pretty sure they don't wanna lose tomorrow, have their lead cut to 2 games in the division, and then play against Weaver on Friday with a possibility of the lead going down to 1 game...

Rangers starting off how they should be. Lets hope this is a sign of things to come.
Hopefully Napoli can go back to how he was last year.

Those are nice stats but you're cherry picking quality starts. Weaver gets knocked around just like every other pitcher. The problem with Jered, is that he wears his emotions on his sleeve, so as soon as their is a bad call, or he gives up a few runs early, it goes downhill quickly.

Those are Weavers 4 starts vs Rangers this season.
I will say the Texas heat could adversly effect Weaver like 90% of other pitchers visiting drought stricken over-temped Texas.

Or the smog in Anaheim could be the reason the Rangers choked. Doesn't matter because the Angels aren't making the playoffs.

Wow, Mike Adams with 2 HR's in one inning. Only one allowed the whole season.
