Planted by whom? Looks to me like she planted herself at Georgetown law.

If she did so for reasons pure political advocacy, as speculated by Mytheos Holt based on Jammie Wearin Fool's reporting, what's wrong with that?

And will someone please explain to me how the this es contraception was $1000 a year?

you can get an IUD implanted for $500 that lasts 5 years, rubbers are $1 apiece, the pill is as low as $4 a month...why do you guys just swallow that without question?

Oh please...nobody said she had to buy the basic student health plan offered by Georgetown. If she wanted a health plan that paid for contraception they are easily acquired. You just pay a higher premium...the bigger the benefits, the higher the premium...you do understand how that works, I presume?
Sure, but it's a free country. Sandra Fluke can protest that if she wants, even demand that gender reassignment be covered. That doesn't make her a or a pros ute in any way.

Anyone ever notice how the left makes sure there is national attention when one of their own is called a name that has a small measure of truth, but will continually attack and call Palin's daughter a , make like hard of Joe the Plumber, for no good reason, and never apologize...

The left is full of hypocrites.

I agree, Rush's mistake was thinking he could be as nasty as the left.
    using Maher as an example

    1. It's pretty common knowlege that he's a condescending

    2. He's on HBO, not government funded radio

    3. This isn't about left and right anyway, as much as you would love it to be. Really not surprised that a re is defending Rush Limbaugh here.

    Obviously none to you.
What difference does it make to you?

    Be specific.

    Dunno, tbh.

If, arguendo, birth control ought to be covered by Georgetown as a matter of equity, the cost is immaterial.

Easy. If she is a professional insurance rights advocate planted in that congressional committee hearing under the guise of being an "innocent law student" I have ZERO sympathy for her taking a little heat.

Why would the issue be framed as a matter of equity?

So calling her a was justified to you because she is good at making a political case.

    Please explain further.

And why should Georgetown University be forced to furnish female students contraception for free?

I didn't say that. I am discussing her less than innocent (as presented) role. I already stated Rush went overboard.

    Please try to keep up.

My understanding is insurance is not free, but maybe you know more about this particular policy.

I'm not making the argument it should. That's Sandra Fluke's hobby horse.

As an educated consumer of insurance for my company I know that the cost of insurance rises or falls depending on the level of insurance coverage, specific items you do or don't cover, deductibles, maximum out of pocket, etc. that you choose.

What part of this are you not understanding?

though as pointed out, having medication covered by an insurance plan one pays for is hardly free
