Funny how things have flipped around on us. Not saying we are for sure a playoff lock but 3 games back and were playing our best ball of the season. Is it better to just win now and hope we get lucky in the draft or tank? Frank has them playing solid D and really are playing hard led by the young guns of Stuckey, Monroe and Knight.

I'd much rather tank and get the draft pick then get demolished in the playoffs but it would help our young guys more to be successful now

Yes tanking doesn't always help the future success see the Wizz.

It's always best to win to establish a winning culture, and it's even better if the win is fueled by the young guys who'll form the core of this team going forward. I don't care about wins if we get there via Tayshaun isolayshauns. But, for this season, it's a good idea to still be in the lottery. They're playing really well and competing every game, but as constructed they'd just get swept in the first round. A starting quality big man/young SF to take Prince's place at some point is our best shot at having a legitimately good SL for a long time and the lottery is the best avenue for acquiring such a player and he'd come cheaper.

One for the tank column tonight. We just can't beat the Jazz at SLC. Also, wtf at Frank randomly benching Brandon in the fourth. And why was BG in at crunch time with both Greg and Brandon on the bench? smh.

We really need to trade Ben Gordon. I hate seeing him on the floor in crunch time; he keeps finding ways to fuck things up. Also, lol at the desperation 3 guard lineup on the floor in the final minute. Against Utah's front line?

Totally agree you can't bench Knight in crunch time with the game on the line.

Well, tonight's game certainly would leave more people pondering the playoffs as well. Down 16, come back, win by 12. Crazy.

    Ridiculous stats:
    Greg Monroe - 32/11/3
    Brandon Knight - 10/11/5/2
    Rodney Stuckey - 35/6/4
    Tayshaun Prince - 28/5/7

I know it's against the Kings, but damn.

Notes: Greg's 32 points ties a career high set earlier this year against Milwaukee. Brandon's 11 assists is a new career high; previous was 10, also set against the Kings. Stuckey's 35 points is one point shy of his season high, also set against the Kings.

    Brandon's 11 assists is a new career high;

Yep. His previous career high came with no turnovers as well. 23/10 I believe.

Mean while we continue to play our way out of a high pick that will help us. Keep Ben G, Charlie, Tay and Max. Sigh....

I haven't seen many of the games recently in full, but Stuckey seems to have turned a corner. Putting up fantastic numbers.

A 16-27 team in position to make the playoffs? Man the East is really weak outside of Miami. I hope the Pistons get Miami in round 1. That will be an easy 4-0 sweep for the heat.

The same team was ahead of them in the standings last year and even went 3-0 against them in the regular season. How did that workout for Chicago in the ECF? Miami is flipping the switch a lot this year. At times they are playing their best ball and dominating teams, then they coast and barley lose games.

Clipper announces today were all over Greg Monroe. First they called him the steal of the draft then they called him the best player under 22 in the NBA. Damn, they also labeled him a poor man's Tim Duncan.

Best part about Monroe is he should only keep getting better a pure 20-10 average guy. We just need a true center to pair next to him now. lol

It's good to see Pistons back on track but their efforts will just worsen their chances for a great rookie next year

True but having a high pick doesn't mean your going to draft a great player.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Ben Gordon currently 8/8 from 3, with the Pistons hitting their first 11 3 balls? If only BG could get his own shot.....he's reliant on screens to get open, but this is seriously fun to watch.

(Still hope they lose though )

Nice hard fought come from ahead loss. Ben Gordan give us a good game then take it away with a dumb foul. Props to you Ben we keep doing the little things to lose.

Best of both worlds? Nice, exciting game after the first quarter with BG going 9/9 from range, then he commits a dumb foul (Afflalo took 1000000 steps though) and freaking JaVale McGee beats us with a dunk. One more for the tank.

Looks like the tank is really on. My god that was hard to watch.

And wtf was Frank thinking putting Knight back in with a 20 point deficit late in the fourth? Kid only had 3 turnovers when it counted; garbage time meant he got 3 more. Not the best way to encourage your 20 year old rookie PG, Lawrence. That was just a head scratcher. I know his backups suck beyond belief, but it's garbage time. We won't miraculously come back from 20 down. It's pointless to risk injury to your starting PG playing against a bunch of showboating losers. Let Walker D play it out.

It is best to go balls out to win, but to end up losing night in and night out....this way, you do not smite the basketball Gods.....for if you smite them by tanking.....you will get bent over with no vaseline come the Draft and foreseeable future.

Nah, not advocating tanking. That was more a reflection of sheer annoyance at losing to that overhyped excuse for a team 3 times in the same fashion (P.S. Amare and Chandler are giant douches). The players definitely aren't tanking by any means either, even just from looking at their expressions after wins/losses.
