Not necessarily. If Jax doesn't pan out the Spurs could always amnesty him in the summer, like they were planning on doing to RJ anyway. SJax contract qualifies under the amnesty rules.

I thought amnesty worked only for franchise with original contract, therefore not possible in any cir stance after a trade?!?

only thirty plus game he's had this year. also only two games with 20 or more points. but we don't need him to put this kind of numbers, with good defense and 12-15 per game it would be fantastic
