Looks like both Diaw and Turiaf are gonna be bought out...
I think those two could be in "connection" with TP and, considering Kaman probably is not going to be bought out, both could be "reached"...
Probably we could afford them both...and they could be good to fill our needs in the front line department.
    Thoughts ?

If you could get both, Turiaf I'd start, and bring Diaw off the bench with Splitter.

I;d be happy if they got either one.

If I reember correctly, one of the best skills of Diaw was his defense...he was a very good defensive player. In the right environment energy and hustle (that are for sure, with defense, Turiaf best qualities) could came back for Diaw too...

I remember when Rony Turiaf was an energy and hustle guy. I don't think Turiaf remembers. I think I have more confidence that Diaw can lose 20 lbs before the playoffs start.

I'd prefer Diaw over Turiaf. When it comes down to skill, Diaw has much more of it. Turiaf is too much of an energy/hustle player than he is a skilled defender or a polished scorer.

Diaw, while isn't a defensive ace himself, is skilled on the offensive end. When motivated and in shape, hes one of the more unique combo forwards out there. We just have to hope hes motivated and shape.

Diaw vs Turiaf is a question of offense vs defense. The Spurs scored 120 points the other night. I think they can score but they might need more defense.

Not really, he can be good on D for sure, WHEN he wants, but his best skill IMO is his versatility.

He can play 5 positions and is a great passer (great court vision).

His main weakness (aside his actual weight) is his unselfishness, he'd rather pass the ball to an open teamate rather than shoot an open jumper/layup...

That's the reason Charlotte wants to get rid of him, because he doesn't shoot enough...

He would be a perfect fit in SA, Pop could use him in so many ways...

Diaw is lazy and soft but he is a very talented player when he wants to be, one of the greatest big passer in the nba.

At this point I'd prefer take my chance with Turiaf

Diaw isn't Rick Mahorn, but he's not "soft" either.

depends of your definition of soft I guess let's say that compared to Turiaf he is soft compared to Bonner he is tough. Now regarding his the so called unselfishness (passing wide open shots) I call that soft. Diaw would drive pop nuts. After not shooting the ball 2 times he would go directly to the bench for the rest of the game.

Diaw's biggest softness is between his ears. Just not a smart player. Though his tubby body is making a run for the lead.

Pardon my french, but I think you should start questionning your own "between ears" thing before posting such idiocy.

He's very smart (bbIQ and in real life), you can call him soft/lazy but calling him dumb is just hating.

Only one of them is coming, if both intrested and waived in time.
