Props to cantthinkofanything for telling me about this kid 3 years ago. You know what you're talking about when it comes to track and field. Most people are stuck in the past but you're on top of all the hidden talent and current athletes around the world. Salute.

The most remarkable leap in history is Bob Beamons 29-2 plus in 1968. Keep in mind at that time the WR was 27ish, so to make that HUGE an inprovement was.....WOW~~~ The track world was stunned.

You saw the Cuban kid jump 29 and it's a wow, now imagine this some 50 years ago.

If SFS actually knew track there is no way in he can talk a 19.5-20.5 200m for a middle school, that is humanly impossible.

A few long jump tid bits....

Silvio Cator a Haitian soccer player was the first 26 footer, talking 20's.

Jesse Owens 26-8 WR in the 30's stood for over 20 seasons, the guy who broke it was Ralph Boston, also the guy who held the record that Beamon's remarkable jump broke.

Eric Metcalf that speedy Browns RB was a 27-8 jumper while at Texas and no NFLer has ever jumped further. At least a dozen over 26 feet NFLers. His dad Terrry who was an even better NFL RB was a 25-10ish jumper while at Long Beach State (Cards)

Baseball legend Jackie Robinson was a 25-10ish long jumper at either Pasadena City or UCLA. His older bro Mack (Oregon) won the silver at those 36 Berlin Olympics,, right behind Jesse Owens.

    All-time men's best long jump

You guys try so hard to give SFS props while booing Avante, yet everybody saw what happened in a leget trivia contest thread, yep, your boy ran.

Everyone who follows track knows about Echevarria, and I don't buy SFS does.

By the way, the kid jumped 28-11 just a week ago.

Speaking of teenagers who shocked the track world.

Betty Robinson was only 16 when she became the first female to win the Olympic 100m, this was 1932.

Baker HS footballer (avg 13 yards a carry) Houston McTear tied the 100 yard WR record of 9.0 as just a junior.

At the 1924 Olympics GB tried to get cute by using their Olympic 100m gold medalist Harold Abrahams on the leadoff leg of the 4x1, yep....get a big lead. NY HS kid Francis Hussey was only there to leadoff the USA 4x1 team, yep....he blew Abrahams away, giving the USA a solid two meters advantage, and that's what we won by.

In 1954 Alameda HSer James Jackson ran a 9.4 100 yards, that was the fastest time ran in the Nation, nobody at any level was faster.

So many interesting stories in track, so many amazing athletes.

Who knows the Stella Walsh story?

    Long jump...pit..ok? Not...box.

And didn't I just talk the current NCAA's even predicting new records in the 4x1/4x4? I said Michael Norman will do something big.....yep, new NCAA record.

    Stuck in the past..???

Keep an eye on HSer Anthony Schwartz, ah......black sprinter.

    I aked SFS

Dude, ya don't look for results to meets you plan on watching on TV, ok? The meet will be on ESPN in a few hours.

Now, give us your EXPERT opinion on what we can expect to see.

Do you see Houston and USC breaking the NCAA records in the 4x1 and 4x4?

    What about Michael Norman?

What can we expect in the mens 100m?

Talk to us about that HBCUer who shocked everyone.

    The boy posted this....

And by the way...I doubt I'll watch much of it all. I put too much value on my time than to waste it watching track and field.

Another thread derailed by Avante; always seeking validation that he knows track & field, when SFS has continuously shown his superiority in the subject. Go ahead and reply by giving us your fake resume and listing some googled statistics.

I posted about this in another thread and you completely ignored the feat. Started rambling on about dem blues...

Beamon at al ude? How does al ude give one an advantage in the long jump? And since you might be able to answer this try the next question mr. track wannabe.

Then, why must any runner accelerate on a turn?

Everyone beat you you to this 19 yo.
    You are lost.

Why ignore what I said about those NCAAers?

So I care about the history of it....only? That make any sense to you? I follow all of it and have made that very clear.

How many times have I posted HS lists showing SFS what a 19.5-20.5 really is at a young age?

Dude, TRACK & FIELD MAGAZINE...since 1966...ok? Been to over 1000 track meets. Can talk pre1900.

You really can't see my interest in the sport?

Dude, here are those 26 and beyond NFL long jumpers.

Bo Roberson Cornell/Raiders the 1960 Oly silver medalist, and the first speedy Raider.
    Vnce Johnson Arizona/Broncos
Eric Metcafe Texas/Browns....his 27-8 the best by any NFLer
    Latin Berry Oregon/Rams
    James Lofton Stanford/Packers
    James McAlister UCLA/Eagles
    Chris Sanders Ohio St/ ans
    Paul Warfield Ohio St/Browns
    Marquiez Goodwin Texas/Bills

    Dude, find that on Google.

    SFS don't know about track.
