Saw it yesterday (released on may 30th in european countries, France in my case). Quite a good one, return to the old concept, less aliens (or other entities), more fear, but most of the standard components of an alien film are there (evil corporations, androids & so on & so forth).

The picture, lanscape are effing great. The 3D is not that much disturbing( usually have troubles to follow high speed movements in 3D movies, but here, that was quite OK, the film is not oozing with high speed action or too many fights)...

What was so great about Alien IMO was how odd it was. The design and art direction was something I've never seen before. That seemed to be Ridley Scott's trademark. Bladerunner was similar in that regard, a new and refreshing take on Sci-Fi.

I'm looking forward to seeing this, but looking at the previews, it appears indistinguishable from so many other films.

Hoping this one is a throwback to the original Alien/Aliens in many regards, which both are top 10 all time scifi movies IMHO. From what Ive read, this actually opens up an entire new potential series that's still within the Alien universe... sort of like a prequel series but not. In any case I got my 3d IMAX tickets and I'm ready for the new Tarantino preview beforehand..
