honestly this was probably the best decision Brown has made the entire year. Kobe would have just chucked away even more opportunities for the Lakers to catch up anyways.
PELICANS ON 3!!!
He'd be stupid to tell the media he benched Kobe because he wasnt playing team ball. Dude has no mojo unlike Phil Jackson.
If Brown starts benching Kobe when he chucks, the team got much more lethal.
Mike's finally growing a spine?
Dude couldve said he thought Kobe needed a breather. He just opened a can of worms.
"Kobe on Mike Brown being fired: He pissed me off when he benched me so I fired his ass"
Kobe Bryant asked if he was upset about getting bench: "Of course I was."Kobe on sitting late in 4Q: "if you're looking for a story I'm not going to give it to you." Said leaders shouldn't question coach.Kobe Bryant: "If you guys are looking for a story, I'm not going to give you one. I can't sit here and criticize his decisions."
Kobe should know that it will be a story regardless of what he says.
Kobe does know that so he says just enough to get his point across. When you say "I cannot question his decisions" you aren't saying you support him, but quite the opposite. It's like saying "what do you think".
From LG
"You don't bench your premiere player live on national tv with eyeballs everywhere. It's fcking embarrassing. The crowd chanting, "Kobe, Kobe, Kobe" was hard to watch. The look on his face said it all. Our coach is a clown. If you were trying to make a "point" or "felt like making a sub" you don't do it to number 24, you take your fat mr. potato head to subway."

"I wish Popovich was coaching this team"
Popovich and this Bryant wouldn't be able to co-exist on the same team.
James Harden scouting report:
Best Case: Manu Ginobili
Worst Case: Jason Terry

Pop would have been benching Kobe is the guise of "conserving minutes" a long ass time ago
90% of Spurstalk posters love Trainwreck, the other 10% are liars
SWEEP THE LEG!!!!!!!!!
Though Pop had no hard time taking in two players that just got done quitting on their respective coaches.
tee, hee.
Kobe would have been traded a long ass time ago for some decent, coachable talent. He's not really a franchise level player, just a face and attitude with some real talent that's overblown. Tracy McGrady 2.0 to be exact. Works fine if you have a couple bigs and some big guns outside to do the work for him.
Perhaps, but,,,,
Kobe: 5
the tired old shit bag Duncan: 4
endures, daddy-O.
Kobe quit on Rudy T... you've no room
But, now I got your company. And I ain't a turnin' loose for money, marbles, nor chalk.

Fuck Kobe. Brown is the coach. If he wants to sub out one of his players because they aren't playing team ball, that's his prerogative. I respect Brown for actually having the balls to do it. The stars have way too much pull in this league.
Your Pop saw to that when Jackson & Diaw quit on their coach and team and Pop signed 'em right up.
You got nary room.
