I have been to Goshen Connecticut many times.
A-lister at Blue Moon on 6th (had to give up your seat if he showed up) until his death last year.

Yeah he'd use creative 'slides' like vintage coke bottles to play the guitar on a fold out stand I think.
That technique is call ...the slide. Way back in the day the old blues cats would break off the neck of a beer bottle. Melt the jagged edge down to smooth then stick their finger in the hole....a slide. I've head of bones being used. Pocket knife blades, I use an old lighter.
No not a guitar player, but anyone with a little rhythm can play some slide.
One of this guys tunes is in orbit on Voyager I, I think it's this one....not sure however.
This is considered by guys like Eric Clapton to the first great slide guitar tune. It is a classic and on anything having to do with essential/defintive prewar blues.

I liked his older stuff better than what he did early on. One of the true legends.
