Barca's defense was very solid last year prior to Valdes and Pique going down. Only Atletico Madrid gave up less goals up until that point.

Still hoping they can sign another defender as they overpaid for Mathieu

This is what Liverpool look like with Suarez gone. He helped cover Gerrard's bad place ment as a holding mid because the entire team was so worried about Suarez.

You guys have a added the third best player in the world. I hope he shows the whole world how great he truly is.

“What differentiates us is to appreciate the philosophy of the club,” Pique said. “There are players who have been here for many years, and that does not happen today. The philosophy is, no matter what happens, they rely on the players.

“We’re talking about something that is unique. I compare it with the Spurs in basketball: (Tim) Duncan, (Manu) Ginobili and (Tony) Parker, always there. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. But other people follow, trusting them and giving results.”

    He's describing Bayern Munich

Barcelona is a mafia organization in La Liga. They cheated in recruiting players and rely on hard working non-Spanish Europeans to fund their football club. I've always respected Real Madrid because they are honest with who they are, unlike Barcelona.

Mundo Deportivo is a pro-Barcelona news outlet. Would take what they say with a jar of salt.

I know. Here is another biased "source":

    http://www.barcablaugranes.com/2015/...ilkay-gundogan

Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have reached on Thursday a verbal agreement that will have Ilkay Gundogan signing with the Catalan giants once the club’s transfer ban is completed, on January 1st, 2016, sources told Barça Blaugranes. The midfielder has agreed to the terms proposed by the Blaugrana, and the German club is also on board with all offers.

    ...

According to sources, Gundogan will sign a five-year contract with the Blaugrana, and Dortmund will receive a $34 million fee. Bonuses will also be awarded to both the club and the player if he meets certain performance goals, such as appearances, goals scored, and les, in a deal similar to the one agreed with Arsenal and Thomas Vermaelen.

Now there will be a long, six-month period between the agreement and the actual official announcement, and everything can happen. But, unless something insane occurs, Ilkay Gundogan will be the next Barcelona midfielder.
IDK, the transfer ban makes things really complicated. OTOH Dortmund has to publish bigger signings and earnings immediatly, if the have a big influence on their stock exchange price in Frankfurt. (adhoc-Meldepflicht, happenend so with Götze, Mkhitaryan, Klopp) So they would not be allowed to keep such an agreement locked for even a day, otherwise they could be accused for insider information/trading...
