Didn't feel like digging through the archives and look for a "ghost" thread. But do you believe in them? We have ghostly or unexplainable activity in our house that comes and goes. My wife was always the biggest skeptic, until now. Anyone live in a haunted house, or grew up in one?
Got lots of experiences in the 6 years we've lived in our home, not to mention the house I grew up in as a kid.
I don't believe in ghosts at all tbh but for some reason I like reading people's ghostly tales, even if I think it tends to be embellished. Tell us about your experiences

I dont even know where to start. Have seen things, inanimate objects being thrown off the table before our very eyes. (This is what FINALLY made my wife a believer, btw)
Once incident that happened in broad daylight once. I was laying on the couch watching TV, its about 7 pm, during the summer. No dark, rainy night or anything like that. All of a sudden, I see someone walk passed the doorway in the hall, clear as day. Didn't see this out of the "corner of my eye" or anything like that. My daughter was with my wife in our bedroom, opposite side of the hallway and I texted my wife what I just saw because I didnt want to freak out my then 9 yr old daughter. My wife responds without skipping a beat by text, "yeah. I saw the same thing last week while you were still at work."
does she see this ghost a lot while you're at work?

true and good point, but do you believe the paranormal tv shows? sometimes i watch them and think they are full of shit because it is hard to tell what is edited or what they do to make a show. although not sure what i do if i saw some unexplained shit.
This was back in the 80's. We were living a few miles from an old Indian burial ground. What we didn't realize was that the developer had actually built over the western portion of the burial ground. We'd hear weird noises all the time and stuff would be moved around the house. Also, any kind of television reception was very bad. One day, we were just playing around with a new camera that we got for Christmas. We didn't realize it at the time but it had film in it and was taking pictures. Anyway, a few months later, we got the film developed and were shocked to find the following:

Yeah, most of the things on tv are done for ratings, imo.
I don't believe the Investigative shows much, like Ghost Hunters or Ghost Adventures, but I am a fan of My Ghost Story. Those are just everyday people giving their accounts, and some of the video and audio they have is unbelievable.

Her 18 yr old daughter has suddenly started to experience things also; so they contacted one of those "ghost chaser" shows (I don't know which one, I don't watch those) and they sent a crew to her house for a preliminary evaluation. They documented enough "activity" to book a weekend long filmed investigation at her house for next month.....I'll let you guys know the when/where it'll be on tv when I find out

Nope. No "sudden gusts of cold air" or anything like that. I don't have a digital recorder either.
Only thing we have all seen at the same time was when we were eating lunch one day and something flew off the table right in front of us, like got thrown towards the wall. This was about 4 years ago. That was the first time my wife started to finally believe in something paranormal. There was no explanation for that
Oh and by the way, that poem you sent me, I used that when I delivered my mother's eulogy.
