Watched it for a bit while the remote was charging. Saw the eyeroll and the yawn by mini Lil Jon. Sort of proves that the Spurs were never boring, it was just an excuse by people that didn't want them to do well.

i think skip is the only one who even watches NBA games with any regularity. predator guy probably watches only highlights. nice cover to say he loves the cities but just hates the teams. just in case his no name rap act ever has to place a gig here.
Exactly. I dont know if anyone else agrees, or maybe it's the homer in me, but I never thought the Spurs were boring, even during the first Championship.
Go back and watch the Memorial Day miracle, how the f was that boring, The Twin tower suffocating D. In 2003 Manu wowed with his crazy plays that we werent used to. Manu's takeover in 2005 against the Pistons..I mean i never thought they were boring at all.
It was all just what ESPN put in viewers heads and the sheep followed and now it's just popular to say, that we are boring. We are more efficient in my opinion than the Suns offense of years past that got so much attention.
How the f are we boring? No locker-room drama. No Hollywood story-lines, thats what its about. They dont want to give credit to a Hispanic town. Thats why they hate on the town itself, Riverwalk, etc.

They lost me when Rob Parker started whining about the TV ratings being bad when they are in the finals.. Not sure what that has to do with actual basketball..
Yeah, when he said "Spurs have 3 of the lowest rated Finals ever" I just stopped listening.
Spurs Depth:
PG: Parker, CJ, De Colo, Mills
SG: Manu, Green, Neal
SF: Kawhi, TMac
PF: Duncan, Diaw, Bonner
C: Splitter, Baynes, Blair
"So the final image of Ginobili isn’t that he lost a bronze medal. It’s what he did to try to win one." -
Buck Harvey
Still crazy after all these years. “And I love that,” Jackson said. “I’d rather play with someone like him, who plays hard and gets hurt, than someone who is afraid.”
- SJAX regarding Manu
Stan Kelly just reminded me of what was boring about the Spurs back in the day. It was Stan Kelly and that horrible music, "Yall ready for this"

lol what da fuck is lil wayne talking bout up there
nugga talking bout cute....cute? are you kidding me homie? Your shirley temple curls are cute phaggot lmao
You guys still get worked up about this shit? I mean they've been saying the same things for 15 damn years. Before that we were soft. Who gives a fuck.
You mean the CURruRUruRUruRUruRUruRURSe of Stan Kelly?
I can understand someone who doesn't ever watch regular season basketball to buy into that shit, which is why the ratings for the Finals are bad in the US, but for someone claiming to be any kind of NBA fan to say it is retarded. They didn't bitch about defense when Pat Riley and Jeff Van Gundy were playing 72-65 games in the playoffs.![]()
1. Anyone who watches this show is a moron. It's designed for people to debate with Skip. For all you know Wale loves the Spurs but producers told him to act like he thinks they suck so that he can argue with Skip, which produces "compelling" TV. I'm almost positive some producer fed him that "cute" line just to mock-enrage Skip, just as I'm positive they told the dumb blonde to lay it thick with how the Spurs bore her. It's all for show. Everyone on the show is suppose to be anti-Skip's opinion. The format is designed for it to be his opinions vs. the world.
2. Even if Skip is technically on our side, you people have to realize he isn't a Spurs fan for the right reasons. He's a contrarian. His viewpoint will be to always go against majority opinion. He only "likes" the Spurs (or pretends to) because everyone else hates them. If everyone in America loved the Spurs, Skip would like the Lakers, so please stop giving him credit for being on our side. It's just all shtick.
He sure does know a lot about them though. He clearly watches.
You're a moron for making such an idiotic statement.
Keepin' it real ... it's more than a name ... it's a way of life.
when shit asses like that start mentioning ratings, its not that they don't believe the spurs could/should win the championship. they just don't WANT the spurs to win the championship.
they have no argument and just don't like the spurs for no REAL reason.....which makes me wonder who pays these morons for there SUBJECTIVE takes?
They argue just for the sake of arguing at times, but Skip honestly knows his stuff about the Spurs. He has repeatedly thrown ESPN and First Take under the bus for not talking about the Spurs more. He knew Splitter's value to the team going into the season, he knew how important the acquisitions of Diaw and Jackson were to this team, he applauds Tony for the best season of his career. He says he watches many of the Spurs games and I believe him.
I think that Skip gets in trouble when it comes to football. But when it comes to basketball, I can honestly say he knows his stuff.
Skip still ridin on Drive For 5 baby
ADD WU TANG etc. too! What happened to them? Modern day shyt, WALE is some trash man who cares what he says he sucks.
"If I'm going to fight you, I'd rather just beat you," he said. "If I can't beat you, I'll be a man and say I can't beat you. I'm not going to cry about it. . . . I'm the first guy to say that somebody is better than me. I was the first guy to say Hakeem Olajuwon beat me in the [1995] NBA finals. He killed me. He dominated me. I didn't go, 'Oh, he's traveling. They had experience. Wah-wah-wah.' I'm a man. Hakeem Olajuwon dusted my butt. These guys now are crying, 'Three seconds!' It's just funny to me."

I needed a good laugh this morning.
Did Rob Parker seriously say that we'll miss RJ? Seriously? Damn..where they get these guys from?
Thanks to a friend on another forum.
Why argue with a rapper?? What's his IQ ?? 10 maybe 12 on a good day?
Unless they DO.
Many buy into the "NBA is rigged" theory; that the league specifically favors large market, good ratings teams with favorable scheduling, and even in game officiating to bolster their chances at advancement. If the Spurs are all but guaranteed to deliver historically low numbers, then that bias will be exaggerated. That could give a conspiracy theorist (or, in fact, a conspirator - dude works for ABC after all) reason to expect causality between low ratings and a chance of success.
Opinion is the medium between knowledge and ignorance. - Plato
Bruce Bowen in studio today to counter Rob Parker's weak, weak hater perspective. Nice job, Bruce.
one of the worst all-time basketball takes tbh
"Tim Duncan is killing the Lakers!"
It's almost as if he never watches the Spurs play.
I think he actually said that (that he hasn't watched the Spurs this year) toward the end of the segment. I might have misheard that ... hopefully it will be uploaded to ESPN. They still have yesterday's segment with that rapper dude.
