What's funny/strange is that "our" Tony Parker was close to go to UCLA in 1999. He finally decided to stay in France to play with a professional team instead of going to a college like Turiaf did.

But what's funny is that in TP's first few years, he always said he was close to going to Georgia Tech. Then at some point the story switched that he was going to UCLA.
