I like the picks, but I don't think the Spurs are that dominant of a team.

We pick conservatively because we would rather be wrong with a winning team than be right with a losing one.

It goes like this:

1 (best) right with winning team
2. wrong with winning team
3. right with losing team
4. wrong with losing team

Of course getting 1 would be ultimate, you could talk shit all year and bump your own posts to show what a badass you are. It comes at a risk of being number 4 though.

Picking 2 is a safe bet because, if the Spurs win, we don't give a shit what we predicted. If they lose and we ran our pie holes about how they were going to win, we have to see that thread every few days as someone bumps it. It comes at a risk of 3.

But we don't have to answer to critics, so we can take the safe bet and go neutral or there abouts. Pundits have to make a call and back it up with "facts" and all that nonsense. We just go by feeling.

I think the Grizz will push us to 6, and the Thunder maybe to 7 games, but I think this Spurs team has the chemistry, depth, flexibility and heart to go all the way this year. An even better indicator is the fact that SPAM is well and truly in effect this season (whereas we haven't seen it in the past few seasons), and the Spurs have won 4 rings when SPAM shows up. Hollinger might just get it (mostly) right for a change!
