will you be overclocking?
With Diablo3 coming, now is a good opportunity to get a gaming desktop.
I need your help guys - not very good with computers, and I got lots of good of advice when buying my laptop(which has been fine, it's just not a gaming laptop).
Basically, I'm really looking for a computer that will run Diablo3 well, but if it will be good enough to run other games I never got to play(like Skyrim), that would be an added bonus.
I'm not set in my budget yet, but honestly anywhere from 500-1000$ is probably around my price range. Also would need advice for good screens to buy.
Thanks.
I don't know what overclocking means
Just assume I'm to computers what Lefty is to comedy - keep it simple please.
do you think you can put a computer together from components?
I'm afraid not, I'm honestly pretty clueless when it comes to this , would probably have to be a ready made one
P.S found your suggestion for the 600$ gaming laptop, looks pretty nice so I"m looking it over now.
imho gaming laptops are stupid.
if you cant build your own system, prepare to drop some serious $$$ for prebuilts
Tbh that's why I said a desktop, I woulden't mind a laptop but I figured a desktop will be cheaper for what I need - plus I already got a decent laptop for work/surfing.
imo u could go for ivy bridge, its only a 10-20bucks more expensive over sandybridge tech gear....
goto craiglist look for someone already selling a gaming rig, for $1k you should find something pretty nice
look for something with I5 processor or better 6-8gigs of ram should be fine and a gtx560 TI and you will have a fairly robust gaming rig.
What's the best video memory? I would think for a modern gaming rig, that's important. Is there something better than GDDR5 now? Maybe 2 or 4 gigs dedicated?
Kind of guessing here. Haven't been keeping up.
I'm curious. What's the difference?
Never mind...
easy to look up.
I was assuming it was a memory management thing. I have an old computer that used a "bridge" to do DMA switching between multiple coprocessors and multiple memory.
Just got an ASUS gamer laptop with 2gb dedicated graphics memory
Whhhhhhaaaaaaaaatttt
Porn is ridiculous on this thing
Can you give me more specs?

I'm looking for a desktop though, one with a good video card.
My Budget has gone up to around 800-1200 though, I'll probably be making my call tomorrow, gonna check Amazon/Newegg today and choose.
