son I'm not a Ronda fan, but props to him. these NBA officials deserve any physical abuse they get.

wont do any good if he is gone for game 2...they were to close for that BS
Positives to take from this game:
Celtics missed every 3 and still kept it close.
Garnett had a ty half, and Pierce wasn't doing great offensively.
Bass, Rondo and Bradley are nice young trio.
Negatives to take:
Celtics are old.
Rondo, one of the few who isn't, probably isn't playing Game 2.
The Celtics half court offense looks like without Jesus; I mean like Fratello Cavaliers bad.
^ johnson was 0-9 from the 3 point line. but rondo is supsended. its a simple rule they apply it that way, there is no argument. they did it with trukeyglue, lopez and others.
Double technical ejection is totally justified for that play, but 1 game suspension?
If Rondo gets 1 game for that, Artest should've gotten 10-15 games for his elbow.
Can they suspend Rondo without pay for 1 game during the next regular season? That might cons ute a fair compromise, tbh.
Props to Mr. Maxipad for winning the youtube post battle.
If he gets suspended, it'll be for probably a game.
You cannot be allowed to touch the refs in retaliation. It can never get to that point.
It was a terrible foul call in the first place, so I understand his initial reaction. Can't touch those gots, though...he should know that
Rulebook: Any player ... guilty of intentional physical contact with an official shall automatically be suspended without pay for one game.
Yay twitter guys.
just watched the youtube clip..
holy can believe he got tossed for that
and possible suspension too?
Nice find. Rondo just single-handedly gave away the series if that's the case.
The Hawks winning 2 home games doesn't end the series. What he did just made it tough, though.
He kinda looked like he tripped on the refs foot tbh....
What's the success rate for teams that go up 2-0 to start a series? Something like 75-80% IIRC, with Dallas' '06 meltdown being the most egregious counter-example.
Yeah, it's not quite as dominating as the 100% win rate from a 3-0 stranglehold, but it's pretty significant.
Had the Celtics won game 1, I wouldn't have said the series is over even if Rondo is suspended for game 2. It's not that Rondo is probably giving away a game. It's just that to realistically win a series, you can't go down 0-2 even if both are road games.
"Accidentally" elbowing a person in the face - 7 games
Making slight contact with a ref - 1 game
Seems fair.
Thought it was kinda cute actually
This is WAY worse then what MWP did...
