I don't think hard fouls are smart anymore with the new at ude that the Spurs have been showing. They may not punch any players out but then will kick your ass on the scoreboard, just ask Steve Blake after trying to take out Ginobili.

After Blake gave Ginobili a hard foul Jackson went after steve telling him off and Blake just backed away from him, not a single hard foul towards ginobili the rest of the game from blake after that.

Yeah, that's what the Lakers did. They never fouled him, they just prevented him from penetrating, which killed the Spurs. Phil Jackson knew Parker was the head of the snake.

Back in those days, a motivated Kobe was a of a defender.
