Because lots of fans don't take into account intelligence when they rate players and think the system is some magic thing that instantly makes bad players good and good players great.
Not only did Kawhi only get assisted on 55% of his FGs compared to Durant's 62%.
But also, according to NBA analytics he out shot Durant in every facet this postseason.
Better on catch and shoots
Better on pullups
Better on drives to the basket
So can you explain again how it's the system?

It's "the system" because Durant is hurt. Because he'd like to be a part of the system too.
THIS! I blame the media in part. Our players don't get the respect they deserve!
Durant is still a far far better offensive player. You can't always extrapolate shooting percentages to higher volumes because it's harder to stay efficient with a high usage rate. Switch Kawhi and Durant, and Kawhi would have far worse numbers with the Thunder than Durant does.
