Acoustic versions of songs are the worst kind of music to be perpetrated.
Not sure if this thread has been done before....
Sometimes you come across a great acoustic or completely alternate version of a song. Here are a couple...
The harmonies are spot on...

Forgot which thread it was but I had posted that AFRICA song...they do an awesome rendition and do a couple of other great ones too.
I'm not a fan of them but I do like a few. Rather listen to an accapella if the song is not to have any type of instruments.
An exception to liking acoustic songs would be this song from Blue October..
Funny because the acoustic version is the way the song is written 9 times outta 10.
as likely to be piano tbqh
Yup. Another acoustic instrument.
Acoustic versions to me are hit and miss. But the ones that hit can speak to the soul.
Gotta have speakers or headphones to hear the low ends to do it justice
You mean, covers?
Cover typically refers to a song that belongs to another that's been redone by someone else.
A band can have multiple versions of its own song.
I haven't been able to find a version with the entire song being acoustic but i think the start and then parts of acoustic Back For More by Ratt is cool.

Can I borrow it?
Not sure what we're arguing about. Pretty clear intent wasn't to limit to just covers despite posting covers initially. Whatever... don't care.
And an alternate version of an acoustic song turned electric...
I just wanted to comment on the clips from "Live at Daryl's House"----man, if anyone hasn't seen that show you are really missing out, it's GREAT. I've been watching it since the beginning and some of the episodes just blow me away. Big surprises from the guests; some famous old names and some I've never heard of, but all outstanding talents, no slackers here. The show has won some web awards and I believe it's gone live on the road now. Also for those in SA, it's being shown Saturday mornings on channel 4 (the CW?).
Hasn't been the same without T-Bone.....
thanks for filling me in, wasnt sure how else i would hear it.
Been a fan of this show also, tried to recommend it here but it became;
Sadistic- prison guard likes Hall & Oates, blah-blah....
pretty funny trolls...
Loved the episodes with Todd Rundgren, Mayer Hawthorne and of course the tributes to T-Bone (RIP).
Awesome show and the music sounds as good and fresh as anything out there today.
Most of them are done for fun, but this guy now owns the Beatles, "My Life."
