    So....

    Back on topic maybe?

There are so many reasons that congress should actually investigate this Birth Certificate issue.

How many think they don't, only because the left will cry racism, for a perfectly reasonable investigation?

Yesterday, I heard part of the "Mark and Dave" program on talk radio. they laid out seven distinct reasons that indicate he may not be born here. More than adequate probable cause to have congressional investigations. Don't ask me to remember what the individual items are, and I think at one time or another, all seven were discussed here.

    .

I'm on my fourth Inversion IPA right now.

    OOppppps...

Not my favorite program. Have you heard of them? I'm surprised if you have. Maybe there is a different Mark and dave you are thinking of.

These two are a local Portland talk host team. They usually take on opposing sides of the things they talk about. Not my favorite by a long shot, but they are fun to listen to at times.

    Did I say forgettable?

Serously. Congress hads investigated presidents for less.
Tonight, yes. You simply don't know the exceptionally unusual day I had, and don't ask. I'm not telling.

    Besides...

It's fun to try to drink and drive... on Grand Turismo 5.

Damn... that Chaparral 2D Race car Sure loses grip from the rear end easy.

Only a three speed transmission as well.

Wish I could put a six speed in it.

It's important to keep in mind that post Civil Rights Act most of the old Democratic guard migrated to the GOP. They still behave in much the same way in trying to set up technical and ins utional barriers. It should be little surprise that they try it again.

Poll taxes, district gerrymandering, Jim Crow, etc are all the progeny of that political en y. A black man becomes president: lets try and find an ins utional barrier to remove him.

Let's be clear, I do not think that most of the people here in this thread if any fit amongst the elite from which such notions spring. It's much the same as the dynamic between the rich landowners vis-a-vis the sharecroppers and small farmers of the old south. They are just good minions parroting the same 'values.' You can see it in the rhetoric they mime.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio Admits Using Taxpayer Funds To Pursue Birther Conspiracy Probe: ‘So What?’

ss on May 22, 2012 at 1:02 pm

In the year since President Obama released his long-form birth certificate, tax payers are partly-funding Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s investigation into whether or not the president was truly born in the United States.

The Arizona Republic and the Honolulu Star-Advertiser report that two men identifying themselves as Michael Zullo and Brian Mackiewcz arrived at the Hawaii Department of Health on Monday and requested verification of Obama’s birth. They left after a Hawaii deputy attorney provided them information on the legal requirements for obtaining that do entation. Zullo is a volunteer in Arpaio’s inquiry, but Mackiewcz provided a business card identifying him as a public employee who works in the Threats Management Unit of the sheriff’s office.

Arpaio, who has previously claimed that the investigation was being funded through private donations, dismissed concerns about tax dollars funding the conspiracy quest and said “he hopes the agency will be paid back through private donations”:

“It’s one deputy, so what? We have security issues, too, that I can’t got into,” Arpaio said on Friday. “For six months we were not spending any money. When you’re doing investigations sometimes things change, you put more resources into it.”

“He’s not going to make any arrests,” Arpaio said. “I didn’t say we’re going to keep using him. We’re not going to use him constantly. He’s not assigned to it. For this trip I feel it’s important to have a deputy there. He’s just a liaison to give advice if needed. He’s not doing anything. The posse’s been doing the research. I’m not going to say what other trips they’ve been taking but they haven’t had a deputy with them.”

You think Arpaio's "investigation" of Obama's birth certificate is something usefully?

More useful than congress investigating steroid usage.

MLB is an $8b industry. They did have a systemic problem with steroid usage. Might as well argue that mining safety is irrelevant.

When Hawaii has a epidemic of certificate fraud let me know.

They ran the bio from 1992 to 2007.

Romney cut some kids hair, in high school, 48 years ago.

One, if true, disqualifies Obama from holding the office of President. Why is the other important?
One shows poor character. The other is nonsense and unimportant.

So, Arpaio's investigation has no merit at all.

    Thanks for making that clear.
