You do realize that Nene has missed 11 games since being traded. Once he got injured again snd starting missing time, the nuggets FO had to unload his contract.Traded Nene' for him. Comedy Gold.
IMO, it was too too early to release Nene. He seems to be suffering from plantar fasciitis and that was bound to hurt his season. Spurs' players like Duncan and Parker also had the trouble for a season or so, but they came back strong.
Nene is a far better basketball player than McGee. It wasn't as if the Nuggets were contending for a le that they had to get rid of an injured Nene immediately.
I think Ujiri and the FO were more concerned about money and the potential signings of Chandler etc. Cutting Nene only a few months after signing him on a hefty deal was very rash, IMO.
With a knucklehead like McGee and all energy but no intuition Faried.. they will only go so far as a first round team.
I was half right, although i didn't expect the Jazz to be the 8th seed.
Next year the Nuggets will come to the party
Congrats to the Spurs on making it to the WCF. Should be another series win and I'm predicting in 6 games.
