scientists cant pass legislation. the solution has to be political unless you believe people and corporations will spontaneously step up and shrink their carbon footprints
Get the government out of the way and we would have massive amounts of safe, cheap electricity. All government does in 99% of the time is get in the way.

Currently, nuclear waste is being stored in vast under ground, read, in mountains, in the West.
    Which facilities?

"My" nuclear waste is not a by product of uranium.

    You made an incorrect assumption.
I never said anything about uranium.

I said your plan has nuclear waste.

You lied about what I said.

How is your nuclear waste different from current nuclear waste?

" the solution has to be political"

and the politicians are owned by Capitalists who now make ALL the laws, regs, rules, so there simply cannot be a solution by politicians, even if there were a technical/scientific solution (there ain't)
YES, there is. It is available today. The only reason it is not being used is the resistance of the oil, gas, and coal industry.

too late to reduce carbon footprint. The planet is in or rapidly approaching the tipping point of no return.
    No, it is not!

As soon as arctic tundra releases gigatons of methane, already in progress, GAMEOVER I agree with you on that point, that is why we need this nuclear power NOW! ....and in mass quan ies.

Good points. More if you got'um.

"How is your nuclear waste different from current nuclear waste?"

What is the "current" nuclear waste derived from, then?

    No.

You already said your plan has nuclear waste.

What is your waste produced from?

What are the names of the facilities that currently store nuclear waste?

    No.

You already said your plan has nuclear waste. And it does!

What is your waste produced from? If you don't know, you should not be in this conversation, because you don't know enough about nuclear power to have an opinion.

What are the names of the facilities that currently store nuclear waste? I don't know andI don't care! If it a a big concern to you, look it up.
Do you come up with this because you have nothing else to do? How sad.

If you don't know where nuclear waste is currently stored, you should not be in any conversation about some nuclear energy "plan."

But thanks for admitting you lied about where it is stored. Makes it easy to dismiss you out of hand.

Why do you lie in every thread?

You lied about where waste is stored and for some reason want to hide the composition of the material you want to use.

What material do you want to use to produce nuclear energy?

OK, OK, I will look it up for you. I will not reference the federal law suit dealing with the storage of nuclear waste. for that you are on your own.

Here's where it's stored (HINT: nothing is stored in "vast under ground, read, in mountains, in the West." The locals scuttled that idea.)

And yes, I know about waste being stored on site.

I'm asking you about your "plan."

If you're afraid of answering simple questions, you fit right in with the rest of the Trump supporters.

    OK, let's start.

You asked a few questions and I did not answer, therefore, let's start over. Ask me a question.

I know of one question you asked.

My nuclear reactors are powered my thorium. Well, , they are NOT my reactor. I just support their use, their massive use. What's not to love?

Looking it up? Good. You should. I think the more you learn about thorium fueled molten salt reactors the more you will fall in love with the idea of tens of thousands of these things being used.

Thorium on its own only works about 1/10 as well as uranium in "fast" reactors that aren't currently being used in the US. The best use of thorium is to change it into uranium or use it with plutonium.

Not really tbh. I've only seen one proposed thorium plant and that's definitely changing the thorium to U233 -- which is fine, but not actually fueled by thorium.

You have no idea what you are talking about, do you? Please, do not answer that. I know the answer.
