Wow, boxing has really fallen far in the rankings of sports in America. This is the first time in so long since I've heard of sports fans in general discussing a boxing match and all the talk is that they are pretty positive it was rigged.
When the invaders came they brought our greatest fear. Not of them, but of us. They stripped away our hopes of what humanity could be, shined a light on the ugly reality of what we were. We saw that humanity would not stand as one. Those willing to fight would have to stand alone. But still we stood.
They came in wave after unrelenting wave, barely any attempt to avoid our fire. It was like no matter the death toll it was all just a game to them. Maybe victory was just a second thought to the little bastards. What they wanted was to see the moment when we broke, when we'd see that no matter how desperate our defense they had already won. But still we stood.
And now the invaders are gone. Seems as though they are forgotten already. What of us that fought and remain? Do we deserve the same fate as the foe we battled?

Dick Tiger was one of the greatest fighters to come out of Africa. He became a two-time undisputed world middleweight titlist and helped keep boxing alive during the 1950s boxing industry recession. Tiger earned an undisputed Light-Heavyweight world championship. In 1962, Tiger won the world middleweight boxing championship.
On May 20, 1965, Tiger floored Rubin "Hurricane" Carter three times and won a unanimous 10-round decision. Tiger took on Gene Fullmer and won the world's Middleweight title by decision in fifteen. Later in a rematch he drew in fifteen and in the rubber match won by knockout in seven rounds.

Dick Tiger fought his last fight vs Emile Griffith July 15 1970. He was still a serious fighter at 41. He never fought Muhammad Ali. I have his entire record right here in my hand. As I do that of Muhammad Ali. They never met in the ring under any circumstances.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I know what I saw. And as I said, it's possible I was watching a replay. Since it was a cross-weight exihibition, I doubt the results were included in either fighter's official records.
