    Jaguar.

Someone I know jokes about having to have three of them.

One running, one in the shop being worked on, and another in the shop awaiting parts.

Nah it's not the transmission. Chrysler cars have a ty plastic part for the park lock mechanism in the gearshifts that breaks off and makes it impossible to take it out of park. They end up taking it in for a replacement and spending huge bucks instead of buying the $50 part in metal and taking an hour to do it yourself.

It happened to me and will happen to everybody who owns the mopar cars. Don't know about the 2011 and 2012's though. Other than that, I say their cars are nice. Drove the new 300? Very nice.

Mercedes went to sometimes in the 80's. When I lived in Gärtringen, my next door neighbor worked at the Mercedes manufacturing facility in Sindelfingen. He kept saying how they kept lowering the manufacturing quality.

Unless you made the mistake of buying a 2006-9 Civic Hybrid with the batteries that went to crap way too soon (they tried coming out with a software patch to slow it down but too late for a lot of us).

Out of Peugeot, Mitsubishi and Toyota, Toyota was the worst. Everything was optional, hard plastics and low quality seats, the suspension was garbage, very fragile, very insecure. I got a good resale value for it, though. Maybe their more expensive models are better?

They were bad 2000-2008 but they revamped everything and is solid now.
Fiat is the worst car maker in terms of looks.

Do the British even have em anymore. I know JLR has been sold to Tata Group, Rolls to BMW, Bentley to VW, Leyland is bankrupt and some one can probably chip in with the rest.

IMO the Japs are by far the best, and them Korean are closin' in (real fast). Have they overtaken Honda yet? I heard they are doing great in Asia, Europe & South America.

Pretty soon, i seriously doubt if Mercedes will even survive.

And finally shout out to FIAT, how did they do when no one ever could by turning around Chrysler.

"Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne is now suggesting that Chrysler's operating profit in 2012 could exceed its $3 billion (U.S.) target, reports Reuters. If the June and year-to-date sales numbers in Canada and the United States are any indication, that level of profitability seems a foregone conclusion -- barring a complete global economic meltdown."

I don't know about yall, but I have driven two brands of cars in my life and have never had trouble with either. I drove a 98 Escort for 12 years, and am currently driving a Mitsubishi for the last 3 years. Nothing major wrong so far. Then again, my father used to be a mechanic and he always bugs me if I have done the proper preventative maintenance on the vehicle. So far I suppose it has worked out pretty good for me.
