Sorta off topic, but Rory in' Mcilroy was absolutely incredible today.

    24 putts through 18 holes

    No bogey's

Incapable of missing putts from 12 or so feet in. (many to get up and down)

Got his second major before Tiger got his (by about 6 or so months)

Greatest margin of victory in the PGA Championship (breaking Jack's record)

Now, I'm not saying he's going to end up with as many majors as Tiger or Jack, but I do think he'll get at least 5 or 6 (and hopefully many more)

And oh yeah.... Tiger. Hope he doesn't get any more majors (unlikely though that may be)

Don't forget that Jack played against far, far better compe ion (Tiger played against mostly bums, at least through the late 90's/ early 2000's when he won most of his majors) and before equipment became as ridiculous as it is today (in terms of helping your game out)

Galileo, it's almost like comparing apples and oranges. Their respective eras are so incredibly different

Just an FYI, Jack ended up making 131 cuts in majors, with a staggering 73 top ten finishes, and 18 wins. Tiger has not a ghost of a chance of matching these numbers.

I agree with you, I still think Jack's career is far more impressive. But to ignore the outlying factors (for comparison purposes) is folly.

performance in majors is the best way to compare those across different eras.
