Have not yet reached the point where straight liquor tastes good to me, but Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey was pretty good on the rocks.

That's a bold claim. I can understand beers being better than Stone's offerings, but I have never had anything that made Stone seem strongly inferior.
Stone is good/but they've slipped in creativity since some of their grip on the San Diego brewery scene has lessened with the uprising of the likes of Ballast Point and what not. Stone make some good product...but Allegash is one of the best I've ever tried.
Caipirinha and it's not even close
Russian river makes consistently better beers tbh, with a much wider variety in styles. Allagash makes some good stuff but thy aren't top tier IMO, but neither is stone anymore. I also prefer Freetails barrel aged offerings, but they make the best in TX

So it goes.
My go-to is Maker's Mark neat. But i do love gin and tonic's and the overly sweet Old Fashioneds that you find at places that don't know how to make a real Old Fashioned (which are good too). And i like margaritas that are tequila/lime juice/agave nectar and nothing else, on the rocks.
Recently i tried a Mambo Taxi for the first time, and for a girly fufu drink it's pretty damn tasty.
Meh, Russian River is buoyed by the Pliny beers--which are good but I've only found the Consecration and the 25th Toronado to be of any worth. A little much saying they're top tier and whatnot, but I guess that's the beauty of brews. Enjoy what you like...
Supplication, temptation, hop father, mortification, are all amazing beers. Their brewpub is probably my favorite overall in Cali. Edges out pizza port for me but this is prob wro g thread![]()
anything wet and cheap
two more excellent Cali beers, courtesy of Sonoma County where I used to live

Lagunitas>all other cali beers (imo)
Jack Daniels is fine with me
Wunderbar
Yours for the O.B.U
Crown or Forty Creek on the rocks.
Sam Adams Boston/Octoberfest, Stella or Killian's Irish Red.
Overall, they are probably my favorite.
Saving this puppy!
Very good beers and Bear Republic is dope, too.
I wasn't impressed at all by an IPA I had from Lagunitas a few years ago while in California. I do agree on Bear Republic (the Hop Rod Rye kills).
Lagunitas IPA isn't that great, but the New Dogtown Pale is money - it should be their Ipa tbh. Lucky 13, Lagunitas Sucks IPA, Hop Stoopid, Little Sumpin, and Little SumpinWild, pils, and the Fusion Series(pub only) are all very good.
Being such a fan of Rahr's, I looked online for others and this was voted the best. Unfortunately, they seem to only sell it in Kentucky and the VERY CLOSE BY surrounding areas.
"why? cause we get laid more often then we do talking about basketball on some forum like fucking homo nerds?" - GNSF in response to the wild assertion that "new posters suck"
Loved the few pints I was able to try at the local pubs, but never managed to find any in stores.
Everclear
I just moved from Lexington, Ky. It's the only reason I had the opportunity to drink it.
It's fantastic
The good thing is that Alltech is aggressively trying to move into new markets, so give it a couple years and you may start to see it closer to yourself or maybe even in Texas proper
Alltech has also added Town Branch Bourbon(http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifest...285_story.html) to the trail, first in over a century. It's distillery was literally right down the street from my Apt. If you are a bourbon fan, check it out...Not as good as Woodford Reserve (my fave) but a solid effort nonetheless

Have no idea if they still release it, but this was another of my absolute faves from Lagunitas
This came about when they (Lagunitas) were busted for serving to minors in their brewpub. The cops sent an undercover douchebag in to try and buy drugs but nobody would sell anything (instead people just offered to give him a nug or two, lol). So, they sent an underage kid in and he was (of course) given a pint or two. This is what led to the shutdown.
So, Lagunitas used the shutdown time to upgrade their bottling line and modernize other equipment. The owner is completely obsessed with the Mamas and the Papas, so that's why you see some of their beers with Zappa references on them.
When I lived in Sonoma, a friend's fiance' was the executive assistant to their head of marketing. Employees receive 1 free case a week, and he would usually give me a 6-pack every coupla weeks or so. I really love their beers, and the company is as awesome as one would expect from their diverse line and unique labeling.
Another unique release they do is the Cappucino Stout. So fucking good
While I lived in Ky, I couldn't get any...Now that I'm in Rochester, Mn, I can get their beers again. It almost makes this boring, midwestern, wasteland worth living in..![]()
Dunno if you heard but Lagunitas is building a second location in Chicago, so your east coast Lagunitas will be very fresh and not have to be trucked over deserts
Sierra also broke ground in NC within the last few months.
BJ's Irish Root Beer is the shit
B52. Mmm mmm

My favorite drink is the one that I can't remember drinking.
