    But I would love to see Kori Ellis coaching the Lakers this year....with her tough persona...I can see her getting strong armed by Kobe and MWP would totally clown her.

    Seriously though, 4 years ago the country wasn't ready for a black president, it was ready for a president that it didn't hate. An assistant coach in the NBA isn't going to sink or float a whole damn team. Put on the end of the bench and what's the worst that can happen?

    Strange there was no mention of Nancy Lieberman's stint as head coach of the Mavs' D-League team. Coaching in that league has become a pretty regular pipeline to assistant jobs in the NBA.

    I don't think so, no. She'd get tons of blame for even the smallest failures. "If we had a male coach, he wouldn't have made that stupid move", would be a common phrase thrown around by fans.

    Assistant coach, maybe. Head coach? No.
