meh
Might DL it illegally just to kill time
Been so excited for this since I saw the first trailer.
That doesn't say much, tbh
...true.
From what I've been reading it's everything that it's advertised to be and more. Aesthetically, it's what all those big budget destruction films have tried and failed to be.
Saw it last night...............very entertaining. The graphics were spot on. The monsters/robots scale was on point. Looked very real.
Can't ever doubt Del Toro. I'll go check it.
LOL Godzilla, Power Rangers, Transformers mix. You pretty much know what you're getting here without going, I'll pass. I'm sure it'll be on DVD, or some primetime network within a year.
Del Toro + that cast = I'd be in the theater right now if I could be.
Dont think my 6yr old would feel the same way about the movie watching it on DVD.
Yeah, but you know it's the forever watered down end of the world scenario with some sort of plot twist. gets old for me at least.
True, I can understand.....but I knew that going in to watch the movie, and it was still quite entertaining. I think more so because the special effects and sound was so good.
So in general you appreciate these sorts of movies, that's cool. I think people in general find themselves watching these movies at one point or another. The effects do look good in the trailers, that's for certain. But I would never pay to see it unless someone wanted me to take them. I guess my real issue is with the lack of risk taking on a larger scale consistently from the industry in general, when it comes to larger productions that command a larger audience.
loved it, didn't like the CGI but on the budget they did a good job.
Plus this has the easiest porn parody name ever. Passific Rimjob coming soon.
Just got out of the theater. Holy . It's big, loud, dumb, and ing awesome. I don't know how summer popcorn movies are going to keep topping the next with large scale wanton destruction.
I'll agree for the win...my thoughts exactly...saw it at the Imax...holy crap...
Hong Kong battle was so ing awesome.
Cliche as , but yeah, it was good fun.
Need a sequel - "Pacific Rim 2: Counter Attack" or something. Basically just give me more mech vs monster fights plz.
every ing chilche they did. it was 90% cgi battles the rest dialogue. interesting how they made sure that chick moko or cant remember the name was an alright woman not a bombs . in the end he didnt even want to hit it, just friend zoned her.
There were moments in the theater when I just wanted to stand up and cheer out of the sheer awesome of the fights.
Also I thought the three armed Crimson Dynamo thing whatever name was gonna have a better run. It got totes ed
Ok, settled. I'm gonna go see it.
saw it last night. two hours is too long for that movie. they should have kept all the fights of course, but cut out alot of that piss poor acting and dialogue bull . an hour and a half would have been better. it just dragged waiting for the next fight each time.
