Bull . I wanted Luck.
Starting to see reports that Texas has hired Steve Patterson of Arizona State as their new AD.
kbohls @kbohls
Texas has hired Arizona State AD Steve Patterson, connected source says. Will make over $1 million.
Sources tells 24/7 that "it's a done deal" and "he knocked the interview out of the park". I don't know much about Patterson at all, except that he has held multiple highly regarded jobs in sports.
Steve Patterson
He was our President of Basketball operations when we sucked before we picked Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. He's a tool.
Greg Popovich was the Spurs president of basketball operations back in 1997 when the Spurs won 21 games. What's your point? Was he the guy that built the Blazers back in 1999 to 2001? He is now the head of a 160 million dollar sports operation. He has a pretty good resume and ASU is doing pretty well right now so maybe he knows what he is doin

Interesting article on ESPN about what we've already heard in this thread about MB being asked to cordially step aside and Saban's interest in UT.

My point is there are a ton of guys they could have hired including Oliver Luck, but they chose him. Now I'm sure you know more about him based on the Trailblazers, but maybe the trailblazers are the most cursed team in all of basketball and there was nothing he could do to help them.
I may be misunderstanding your post, but Portland doesn't have Roy or Aldridge without Patterson. And unlike Pritchard, he would've picked Durant over Oden.
We'll see how the next few months go, but I like that he hired Rudy T and was behind Clutch City in Houston back in the early 90s and then helped bulid Reliant when the Texans were founded. It sounds like he's very exicted about leading plans for the new basketball arena as the Erwin Center should be demolished in the next decade to make room for the new medical school.

Yeah, I'd say he's a specimen.

2014 schedule has been finalized:
http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa-14/b...l-schedule.php
Per 24/7, QB Jerrod Heard, CB/S Tony Brown and S Jamal Adams will all take official visits to Texas for the Oklahoma State game.
FYI that Burton recently changed his crystal ball prediction to Texas for Adams.
And hes what 15-16 years old? Yeah, that is just not fair tbh.
