Sorry for the lack of posts. There's just really nothing to read about right now when it comes to the coaching search or recruiting. I think Patterson is doing his best to keep things quiet considering how heated Mack's departure was. I agree with Bill_Brasky on the search committee and I wouldn't pay any attention to it. A bunch of academics aren't picking the next football coach; it's keeping up appearances.
It gets better.... he literally did an interview with the local news station in which he took a lie-detector test while proclaiming his innocence....
This plus the blowout loss in the bowl game will be a fitting end to this circus of a season, I've already mentally moved on to the Harsin era, tbh....

On Mack, I don't believe that Yahoo story. If the decision to keep him had been made, why was the mood at the banquet so somber? IMO, what's more likely is that Mack was given an ultimatum after the 1-2 start: Win the conference or you're done. Everything that suggested otherwise was part of the PR campaign to make Mack's departure look like his decision.
