He is absolutely stupid enough...
OB talked to him after the game and said he is still firmly committed.
He is absolutely stupid enough...
Aggy was stupid enough to believe they were winning a national le this year

#Texas expects to announce #Louisville's Charlie Strong as its new coach tomorrow, source confirms to CBS.
Per OrangeBloods, two Louisville guys that we should expect to transition to Texas are LB coach Brian Jean-Mary and S&C coach Pat Moorer. I've linked profiles for both of them. I'd expect former Texas DB Vance Bedford to come along as well and double as defensive coordinator and DBs coach. Strong and Moorer are reportedly close friends and work out together every morning.

More on the potential S&C coach, Pat Moorer. Hard to look more intimidating than Wylie...
He develops custom workouts for injured players, so they don't just sit on the sideline.

Inside Texas reporting S Dylan Sumner-Gardner has de-committed from A&M and will follow his position coach to Boise State.
Unreal.
Huh. I didn't follow DSG after his commitment to A&M but really liked him. That's big for Boise.
Quote from a source on Strong's offensive philosophy (OrangeBloods):
"He does not meddle with that side of the ball. The OC, whomever he is, he will have complete autonomy."
@schadjoe
As others also reporting Charlie Strong announcement now expected Sunday with presser Monday.
So if Vance Bedford comes along as DC where would that leave Ed Orgeron? And does anyone know the big name assistance that supposedly are being considered.
Pretty big blow just considering he has been committed for so long. We haven't pursued that position after his commitment.
I think Charlie will lock down our current commitments sans the DT from San Antonio who may not even qualify. It'll be interesting to see if he can flip an Aggie recruit or two though at a need position.
What's crazy is I can't think of a kid (like DS-G) who has de-committed from big, home state school and committed to a smaller school so far away. And I'm too lazy to do the research, but he may be close to the highest-ranked commitment Boise has ever had.
Where did you see Lealaimatafao may not qualify?
Garnett, the DT from New Orleans, is likely headed for JUCO.
Good story from Grantland on Strong's defense:

Players who commit to a coach and follow them are stupid.
Didn't Texas have a kid commit to them and then decommit and commit to Louisville. Pretty close to the same thing.
Other than the rumor that Orgeron was interviewed, nobody has mentioned his name. OrangeBloods said Ohio State offensive coordinator, Tom Herman, and OK State offensive line coach, Joe Wickline, are names to keep an eye on. I've linked some info on both guys. As you can see, Herman has very strong Texas ties and was a grad assistant at UT. Wickline worked with Strong at Florida and they're supposedly close friends.

Gresham is originally from that area and has family there, so it at least made some sense.
I don't know that Sumner-Gardner has any connection to Idaho other than his position coach is now working at Boise.
Boise has lost several good recruits from this class because they committed to Coach Pete instead of the program, so I can't say I feel any sympathy for Aggy, tbh
@coachingsearch
Louisville is targeting Stanford defensive coordinator Derek Mason, per source.
As of 8:20, Louisville's AD is back in town and meeting with Strong.
