@BFeldmanCBS: Charlie Strong has hired Tommie Robinson as #Texas new RB coach, Scout reports. Robinson did a great job w #USC RBs this yr.
Looks like Robinson was the RB coach at USC after doing the same in the NFL. Vaughn was at Memphis and before that was the DB coach and recruiting coordinator at both Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Robinson and Vaughn are both considered to be great recruiters.
Looks like Coach Strong is well on Schedule to have this coaching staff assembled by Monday as planned. The offensive and Defensice coordinators will be interesting.
Great position hires if he does the same at oc Texas will be back, and he will have a long future.
None of these guys were mentioned as possibilities on the pay sites.
Vance Bedford tweeted yesterday that he hadn't been hired as the DC at Texas and that he was still interviewing.
Joshnewberg247: Two "wow" hires by #Texas today. Chris Vaughn and Chris Rumph are great additions to Strong's staff. Two potential future head coaches.
The staff is beginning to remind me of Bob Stoops original staff at Oklahoma, lots of future head coaches.
But I stand by my other statements, Shawn Watson will be the death of him at Texas.
He's listed in the UT staff directory.
None of the other hires were predicted by the sites speculating on Watson. Can't see Strong bringing on both his DC and OC from Louisville.
OrangeBloods reporting that OK State OL coach, Joe Wickline, was offered the same position today by Texas and has indicated he will accept.
Recap of where the Texas staff sits currently for those who have missed anything:
OC: ---
RB: Tommie Robinson (USC)
WR: ---
TE: Bruce Chambers (Texas)
OL: --- (trending towards Joe Wickline of OK State)
DC: Vance Bedford (Louisville, former Texas DB)
DL: Chris Rumph (Alabama)
LB: Brian Jean-Mary (Louisville)
DB: Chris Vaughn (Memphis)
S&C: Pat Moorer (Louisville)
Quotes from 2015 DT Daylon Mack on the hire of Chris Rumph (Inside Texas):
"Yeah, he is a real cool dude," said Mack. "And WOW, that's a HUGE pickup for Texas. He's a real coach."
"He's the best DLine coach out there. He sends guys to the pros all the time, and he's from Bama. That helps," Mack continued.
Inside Texas saying Oscar Giles is out.
For offensive coordinator, the name Lincoln Riley of East Carolina is getting a lot of attention tonight.
He's from the Leach coaching tree:

Is Wyatt out as the WR coach?
daveBehrAAS: Two former Louisville DT commits now eying #Longhorns Would fill big need after recent defections. http://t.co/Qr8HMnMGAZ #Longhorns
Good read on the Longhorns chances of landing 2 big time DT targets.
That highlight reel of poona ford is probably one of the sickest I have ever seen..I actually started feeling sorry for the all kids he was blowing up in it.
Apparently OK State O-Line coach Joe Wickline and Coach Strong have some familiarity with one another as both were grad-assistants at Florida in the 1980's. Hopeful that the connection between the 2 plays in favor of Texas.
hookemBoard: Joe Wickline To Texas: OL Coach Joe Wickline has accepted the UT OL job, per OB #247Sports
All these guys better master the early Mack Brown way of sharing ideas with the HS coaches here.
They better send a competent serious contingent to that before school coaches conference, play a little golf, pat some backs, and give some relevant ideas on producing good FB players on the HS level without being high handed.
We need to turn this HS goal mine back towards staying in state, not going to the SEC. This worries me. John Macovic completely lost recruiting on this level. We need those east Texas stars considering Austin again.
