ginamizell: After multiple reports, Joe Wickline confirms to me that he's headed to Texas #OKState http://t.co/1XC53ZlQyU
Good read on Coach Wickline's decision to join the Longhorns new coaching staff.

For the above.. I guess it's already been taken down. Hopefully that was a joke

One guy I know has been mentioned earlier as a potential OC is Noel Mazzone from UCLA. As far as I can see, he's the only one of the "top" OC's with a history of coaching receivers. He coaches receivers at Colorado State back in the 80's and for the New York Jets from 2006 to 2008. If Strong and Texas wants a OC/WR he would be my top target. He coached at TCU from 1987-1991. It's long time ago but it's still some kind of ties to the state.

Saw reports saying that Ed Orgeron is expected to join #Bama staff.. I am pretty sure that's NOT gonna happen. Never was.
A note to file away...24/7 mentioned after the first team meeting last night that there are probably "8 to 12 guys" who won't make it to opening weekend for one reason or another.
The Board of Regents has a 10 a.m. conference call this morning to finalize Strong's contract.
And Watson as QB coach, correct?
Jason Higdon @Jason_Higdon
@thelonghorns12 @scoutrecruiting everyone needs to be patient. Will not be much longer on the OC and I promise its worth the wait.
Yes, my mistake. I'll re-post.
Recap of where the Texas staff sits currently for those who have missed anything:
OC: ---
QB: Shawn Watson (Louisville)
RB: Tommie Robinson (USC)
WR: ---
TE: Bruce Chambers (Texas)
OL: Joe Wickline (OK State)
DC: Vance Bedford (Louisville, former Texas DB)
DL: Chris Rumph (Alabama)
LB: Brian Jean-Mary (Louisville)
DB: Chris Vaughn (Memphis)
S&C: Pat Moorer (Louisville)
Worth mentioning it's unclear at this time if Chambers will be a position coach, so we could be waiting on another guy besides the OC. He may have remained on staff strictly as a recruiting coordinator and continuing the work that Suddes was doing before being let go. I'll leave him at TEs for now.
Another rumor out there is that Applewhite might be moved to Suddens old position, first I've heard of this. Any other rumors on where Applewhite might end up? For all his issues as a OC, he is a heck of a recruiter and should land on his feet.
Love that GIF.
Hopefully that becomes a reality. Got work to do.
It's being reported that Dish network will pick up the SEC network.
Saw a tweet that DE Solomon Thomas did get accepted to Stanford.
He should visit Austin before making a final decision, but don't get your hopes up.
24/7 reporting 2015 ATH KeKe Coutee of Lufkin de-committed last week.
He sucks anyways... I live in Lufkin and watched him play, he takes a lot of plays off
Yeah, that's not a suprise. I'm pretty sure that all cable companies will carry that network.
SMOKESCREEN!!!
Eventually maybe... but TWC held out for years on NFL Network.
144 receptions - 2753 yards - 24 touchdowns
Not exactly impressive over a 4 year career...
