it's very hard to argue that trading rudy gay was the move that buried the grizzlies from becoming the perennial contender they were on the verge of being..

conley, allen, gay, randolph, gasol would have been a defensive juggernaut for years to come, with enough offensive pieces to offset allen's crappiness on that regard. Instead they lacked vision and are bound for perennial irrelevancy forever and ever.
