The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Brandon Davies.

Davies grew up in Philadelphia and played collegiately at BYU.
Davies averaged 17.7 points and eight rebounds per game.
The Los Angeles Clippers had Davies in the preseason and was waived last week.

i just spotted davies in the philly game. had to watch it late cause of veterans day dinner with my dad...

i liked what i saw. i especially liked his on ball and rotation defense. he contested kawhi into a brick. and he forced a turnover outta diaw. he was lively and used his quickness and size well.

offense was not as pretty. he was outta sync. outta position, and not so pretty screen and roll. but he managed to not get yanked during a hefty garbage minute stretch in the late 3rd early 4th. he got an assist. and they put him back out there again for more, late in the 4th.

that quickness and body is apparent. i think philly will really like him if the give him enough minutes and coaching to burn the rookie jitters outta him. i wish we had him over ayers. my jury is still out on ayers. but missing multiple dunks has baynes minutes and davies posts looking pretty good.

I haven't seen any philly, because they're philly. But I continually see Davies among the top free agents of my nba fantasy league. The spurs have Jeff Ayers.

I admit I never watch philly play. But Davies seemed like a guy who puts up enough stats to consider adding on a fantasy team. It didn't make sense to me that they would trade him. Or that the nets would cut him. I still believe he is an untapped resource. I bet he would dominate in the d league.
