This guy is a pretty good talent.
At the college level, maybe. Not so much as an NBA prospect. Second rounders have a of a time making rosters, and right now, DX projects him as the #63 prospect, which would make him undrafted.
He got suspended from BYU for a bit due to premarital sex. He's insane for going to that school, pass.
Only a bit?? whats the other reason? haha (EDIT: I read a bit of premarital sex!)
His name is "NBA Ready"!
Oh college what a time. Is that a real rule at byu?
Wow, had no clue about this strict code. Grooming?

the first link is another combine interview. he mentions being a possible late 1st. the second is the combine measurements and results.
i think davies has an impressive lane agility time to match his hands and size. all the tools necessary to rebound, block, and defend wings on switches. everything i'd like to see in a blair upgrade.
wow, no love for davies? dude is a literal stud. branded a rebel for simply bangin' a chick. i'm keeping him bumped. maybe ya'll are more preoccupied with this grizz series?
i think a decision on bertans seals the fate of the spurs draft.
if bertans is coming. then i see them picking lesie at 28, as a 3 that can play 4. then bonner replacement or draft and stash with the 2nd.
if bertans isn't coming. then i'd bet on davies in the 2nd, or probably adetokunbo at 28 as a 4 that can play 3.
He'd be a nice camp invite.

nba.com prospect profile. read in the general draft thread. spurs worked him out!

keeping davies bumped. here's an interesting scouting article.
not bad @ 58... he lookz spurs like
davies in the 2nd round. draft and stash adetokunbo or livio-jean with the 1st. sign aminu and clark. that replaces turd towers and tmac/neal pretty well. hopefully mills opts in. but if not, the spurs are a fisher, billups, terry, barea away from another deep post season run.
i'd love to see the turd towers and open spots all go to well rounded 3/4s. shots. defense. boards. screens.
the bigs own the paint, the points own the ball. fill the rest out with big strong swings, that do it all.
keeping davies bumped. sleeper for the 2nd round pick? most likely camp invite... but i think good option for 2nd round pick.

Undrafted free agent Brandon Davies will play with the Los Angeles Clippers' summer league team.
ymajor bummer. clipps are gonna uncover a gem.
SL contracts are not NBA season contracts. Guys sign to be seen and hopefully get a real camp invite. They're only committed to Vegas.
yeah i know there's a chance the spurs could still sign him. i just imagine the clippers are going to see him do really well in the SL. and then they'll give him a real contract.

Clippers Sign Brandon Davies
July 2 at 11:30am CST By Luke Adams
In addition to inviting Brandon Davies to play on their Summer League squad, the Clippers have also signed the undrafted free agent to a partially guaranteed one-year contract, reports Sean Deveney of the Sporting News (via Twitter).
Davies, a 21-year-old power forward, played four seasons at BYU, averaging 17.7 PPG and 8.0 RPG in 36 contests during his senior year. The BDA Sports client was ranked 63rd among this year's prospects by Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com and 90th by ESPN.com's Chad Ford, so it's not shocking that he wasn't selected on draft night.
Assuming the deal is finalized, as Deveney's tweet suggests, it wouldn't violate the July moratorium. Minimum-salary contracts for one or two seasons can be signed during the moratorium, and that's almost certainly the sort of deal Davies agreed to, though it's not clear what sort of guarantee he received.

it's kinda redundant. but i think this signing will turn out to be a really smart move for the clipps.
Dude wasn't even rated as draftable by Givony or Ford, so I'm not losing any sleep over this.
i'm still bumpin the "davies to san antonio" chatter. he got cut by the clipps, i haven't been following pre-season so i dunno what he's been doing. but based on youtube videos and combine measurements. i think davies is the unpolished gem of the un-drafted class, this year. i can't believe the clipps didn't let him stick. sounds like he was kinda a gym rat too.
