Has a broken foot which reminds me of what happened to Anderson.
Was it the fifth metatarsal like Anderson?
Might be worth a look, in August.
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/pos...rounding-draftThe Houston Rockets are doing anything and everything they can to move Aaron Brooks or Carlos Delfino in conjunction with the draft before they're forced to just let them go in order to create as much cap space as possible for the long-planned pursuit in free agency of Dwight Howard.
Why on earth would anyone give anything to Houston for them when they KNOW they're going to be cut if they just wait?
Depending on the nature of their options, the players can either be instant expirings, or just players on cheaper deals than they might get on the open market.
If you can get him on the cheap, Carlos can still play, tbh...
If you're looking at them as possible expirings, I still have the question: why? If you help other teams to clear cap room, aren't you creating more compe ion to sign Dwight? And wouldn't teams that want expirings want to send you non-expiring contracts in return? That's not what Houston needs at ALL if they want to chase Dwightmare.
It still comes down to them needing to trade to a team that wants the players and has cap room to absorb them outright. If such a team has cap room, I don't see them paying for assets they can pick up for free, shortly. I'm also not sold on either of them getting more on the open market than they are now. It's a new day in strict CBA world this summer.
If his foot is not a problem then I think he would be a very good signing.
Carlos would be a great adition, although he hasn't the same chemestry with Manu than Oberto/Nocioni/Scola, Delfino still has hops and could be a great offensive option off the bench. I think he'd be thrilled to play for us.
He's show some dissapearing acts in the clutch in the past
I would like him on the Spurs as a rotational swing player. I think he can find a niche with the Spurs off the bench.
Mike Bresnahan: Lakers interested in Carlos Delfino, small forward w/ range. They had, um, not a lot of range last season. Will he sign for mini mid-level? Twitter @Mike_Bresnahan
Delfino is expected to be waived by the Clippers after being traded from the Bucks. Veteran minimum and wing insurance?
Dude's hurt, so I'm not thinking so.
