Slim bean looks slick on the GS2.
Though, still have to restore my data. Just got back the phone from Samsung (damn jack and microUSB plugs)...

looks easy
HTC
He has similar toolkit for Nexus 7 and SIII. Holds your hand through each step, lol.
The root for my SIV was even funnier - run a run.bat file off my computer and click yes on my phone to access ADB access. Done.
whats with the high users of CM? is it really that nice?
CM has a large following because it's the AOSP ROM available on the widest range of devices. There are other AOSP ROMs around, but that advantage of availability is the biggest reason.
resistanze - how much space did you free rooting? I just saw the 16 GB S IV with touchwiz only has 9.5 GB avail
http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/16/s..._source=feedly
Yup. It's actually the exact same with rooting. With Touchwiz, it was 9.72 GB available with less that 7 GB free. The issue is Samsung (for whatever reason) par ioned off the 5+ gigs as reserved system pace. So regardless if you wipe and install CM 10.1m it's still at 9.72GB (but like 8 GB free).
Now I still have my 32 GB card from my S2 so it doesn't affect me much (if I can ing find it), but I haven't found a logical explanation why so much of the internal space is untouchable. I'll have to go with Samsung are ing morons until I find evidence of the contrary. Looks like they're pulling a Microsoft Surface.
Also i anticipate they'll reduce the reserved space allocation in a future update, as the backlash has already started.
I guess Apple has to keep the size down with no expandable storage, but reserved space on my 4s is only 2.9 GB.
Even on the S2 I had 14 GB free, so really there's no excuse for Samsung, tbh
Edie: Might have been 12.1 GB free, but points stands in any case.

PAC-ROM just released last night for S4, is bananas, tbh
So you like it?
First release, so things a little bit jittery compared to CM 10.1. But full of AOKP/PA that I've missed.
Yeah PAC is good; love that bootanim too
But I thought you hated PA
Yeah I found PA roms a little bloated on my S2, but didn't hate PA.
For instance on this ROM, I've had 1.6 GB of my ram being used at some times. Not sure why tbh, CM took up 0.9 GB max.
Ah ok
I' thinking about returning to PACMAN, but the developer said he will update Deviant OneX with a new base - replacing Slim with Rootbox
If I dont like it, I'll switch back
Refresh my memory here : do Rootbox and PACman have the "change Bootanimation" option in the settings ?
I dont remember TBH
Yup you can change boot animation, in the Rom Control settings (from AOKP)
Rez,
Dev replaced Deviant with Illusions
Its now based on Rootbox , so it has the bootanim settings from AOKP
Nice little mix, also has the PA settings in there, dark UI, etc ....
Smooth TBH
Nice - RootBox is still may favourite of all time tbh. IT's still in early stages for the S4 so I actually switched back to CM 10.1 nightlies (PAC-ROM is too unstable now).
Been running RootBox 4.1 stable for 3 days now
in' great
