I'm not even joking when I say that this is a big blow to the Spurs moral. Nobody brings it night in and night out for their teammates like Patty. I would feel bad going into a game seven without him there giving his much needed support.
Is that correct? I didn't know it was staph.

Tony Parker, not even close, if he wins us a game in g6 or g7.
Duncan is the hidden MVP of this series. If anything, he should be shooting more. He only took 10 shots and made 7 of them. When he's operating efficiently in the post, they should look to run the offense through him more.
Danny Green will more than likely win it. If the Spurs win and Danny Green equals or beats the 28 3point shots made in a series, he will definitely win the Series MVP. David Lee said it best when he said Green was droppin 3's like Steph Curry.
But again, depending on who comes up the biggest for the Spurs among Parker, Manu, Duncan, Kawhi, and Green in a win against the Heat on the Road. I say Manu, because if he has another performance like last night, he may very well win it as well.
If we win they can give it to LeBron for all I care.
If we win game 6 or 7, whoever plays the best in the closeout game out of Tim, Tony, Danni and Kawhi will probably get the nod.
Leonard: 12.2ppg, 10.2rpg , 2spg, 49%FG, 38%3PT, 1TO
Green: 18.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.6bpg, 1TO, 56%FG, , 66%3PT
Parker: 16.2ppg, 6.6apg, 49%FG, 2.6TO
Duncan: 15.6ppg, 11.2rpg, 1.8bpg, 46%FG
Leonard, Green and Duncan all with fantastic Defence.
Bron-Bron: 21.6ppg, 10.8rpg, 6.8apg, 2spg, 1bpg, 43%FG
Duncan is Duncan, Parker is Parker. Leonards rebounding and Greens shooting and their combined D have been the biggest standouts. So as stated, whoever beasts in the closeout game will probably get the nod.
a lot of players that have been universally censured by us turned around and shocked us during these playoffs
if nothing else, you'd think people would get a little bit more even-handed in their evaluation of players and their potential.
but no, it's still feast or famine on spurs talk
I love DUNCAN to win one more before he retires, but giving the FMVP to DANNY GREEN (in case the Spurs wins), is no brainer.
setting a new record (25) 3s, and at a high percentage
Duncan & Parker are averaging almost the same 16 pts a game in 5 games so hard to pick between them.
Duncan slight edge due his defense.
His role in game 3 record-breaking win chasing the ball.
Collapsing the D of Miami in crucial game 5 as the most important.
IMO, iff the spurs win it all, whoever plays best in the closing game will take it... it'll likely be parker one way or another tbh
i think the only other Spur (other than Green) who has a chance to win it is Tony. But he'd have to finish HUGE.
That would be the nicest problem in the world to have. Hope it comes to that.
Parker. Spurs simply cant win without him.
We all know Parker lead us here, so this will be Parkers le, but if Danny wins FMVP he deserves it.
But I think we will all remember this as Parkers le.
And how do they decide FMVP, is it ex players or does a computer spit it out based on stats.
Every year it seemed clear who it was, this is honestly close.
So far Green played better the best in this finals. The big 3 had some bad games, Kawhi didn't shot so well but has otherwise been really solid.
LeBron is not playing well, tbh.
Give the MVP to Lebron.
Give us the le.
Best outcome ever. TEAM.
Imagine the confusion if Ginobili should turn in a 30-point performance in Game 6.
Then there'd be real confusion as to whether Ginobili, Parker, or Green should be MVP.
Brain says: Parker
Heart says: Green
Danny Green is the new face of the NBA!!
If Greens name was Ray Allen this is a no brainer.
Green will take it.
The Championship would be a complete Team Effort unlike the CHEAT
But the MVP will be Green or Parker depending who has the best closeout game.
The league would get a lot more media mileage out of the ceremony if they refused to grant an MVP and left it "unawarded", in perpetuity.
Green deserves it because of his amazing shooting... Parker deserves it because he is the reason Green has those shots available.
If they win..
Huge if obviously.. It really is a team award. I would not mind a co-MVP of some sort with Green/Tony or Green/Tim...
