Reviewed this phone a while back.

Good performance, lots of bloatware, mediocre camera and battery life. I'd easily recommend the $199 version for how much bang it delivers for the buck, but the $250 version is iffier.

My ing Asus tablet lasted 1 year and two months, what a piece of , of course the touchscreen dies 2 months out of warranty.

Mine (2012) is still working (knocking on wood)

5.0 horribly slowed it down and ate the battery, but it's running better on 5.1

I use it mostly to read comics, and watch movies when traveling

I rooted it when it was on KK, just to add a few Xposed modules (YT ad-away FTW)

It's not rooted on Lollipoop

but hey, 1gig of RAM

Bought my mom a Nexus 9 before she left tbh. Her 2012 N7 was a snail and didn't charge anymore.

My N7 2013 still going strong, however.

I read that flashing CM11 (KK 4.4.4.) makes the N7 2012 brand new

I'm gonna have to try that.
