well as we had discussed Higuain / Benzema... with DAF and DAF likes him wanted to have his reaction, I didn't follow a lot transfer this year but I thought Higuain to Napoli is pretty odd
Especially when he should have been a Gunner. Still not sure how Wenger can justify missing on both him and Jovetic when he obviously has the money (a reported 70m war chest)
I do believe Arsene needs a break, he is too much a manager nowadays vs. being a coach. it leads him to take wrong decisions for relatively small amount of money to protect Arsenal financial results. As his role is large I understand the logic but sometimes decisions lead by financial perspective are just wrong.
I'm cfo of a large company and fortunately a cfo works with a ceo cauz my function would lead me to take conservative decisions that are not the best for the growth of a company. I spend my time to protect my net debt ratio but at some point companies need to say my net debt ratio and take risks.

Arsenal's hard-line stance on finances is still tolerable because the team achieves CL spots and goes to the play-off round while the team is financing the stadium. But I fear that this habit might not change even after they've fully paid for the Emirates. While I hope for a change, I'm not willing to sacrifice CL places because going into Europe's premier compe ion is a proof that this system is *somewhat* working and it keeps Arsenal relevant. Teams kill for CL spots every year and Arsenal somehow comes through with their "CL Spot championship".
