I laugh now but as a 9 yr old who grew up watching all the old ones it was the greatest thing to ever be filmed. Went with my friends to see it in theaters for my birthday

Same. I was like 14 or so when I first saw it; thought it was the . Second time I saw it...I wondered why helicopters couldn't fly higher than a couple hundred feet, why that huge iguana could dodge missiles, why said missiles were slow as , how the military can't hit when shooting at a walking football arena, etc.

If they have multiple Gaijin in this one, then it will be a sentimental hit for me. I, too, was about 5 or 6 when I first saw the Raymond Burr (1954) one and that sparked a love for the lovable iguana. Hopefully this one will deliver!

Only King Kong has ever interested me when it comes to the gigantic monster thing. As we all know the original Godzilla was bad. More into Dracula, Frankenstein etc etc, things not so far far out there.

And more Bryan Cranston--also not a bad rating from Rotten Tomatoes. If it is even 3% better than the trash Broderick Godzilla, it'll be worth the time and money to see it. I have tickets for 11pm so nerding out will be my night's joy. it.

Ha, I was thinking of catching it in 2D next week if it ended up good. 3D gives me headaches as well but this one feels like it's worth it. I'll let ya know.

Of course it will be better than Broderick's "Godzilla", if you can even call it that..he looked like a ing iguana more than anything. If you go into it with low expectations, I guess it won't be bad if it sucks like some say it does.
